Ubisoft's free-to-play platform arena fighter Brawlhalla announced another crossover collaboration, adding Star Wars characters Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi as skins. Brawlhalla has seen all kinds of crossovers over the years. Brawlhalla's roster features 61 playable characters, with some of its characters having special skins based on other games and media.
These crossovers have resulted in skins based on Steven Universe, Halo, and even WWE. The most recent collaboration with Brawlhalla was with Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants, adding SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, and Sandy Cheeks as playable skins for Rayman, Teros, and Cassidy, respectively. Another collaboration with Brawlhalla will be coming next month, which was announced in conjunction with the game's 8.05 update.
The new Brawlhalla trailer starts with a sword descending into view before being grasped by one of the game's Legends. It then cuts to show a lightsaber flying and being caught, revealing that both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker will be added to Brawlhalla's roster on March 20. The trailer didn't show any of their gameplay, nor did it show which characters they would be skins for on Brawlhalla's roster.
The playable skins of these two characters are based on their iconic depictions from the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Anakin Skywalker is Obi-Wan's apprentice. The two had a brotherly mentor-student relationship, but Anakin would ultimately fall to the Dark Side and become Darth Vader.
The same Brawlhalla announcement noted that there will be «other new additions» coming to the game later this year, while also teasing that even more will be added on March 20. Brawlhalla's patch 8.05 will signal the game's ninth season, which includes a brand-new battle pass. A new deluxe pass will be added to the game, which gives the player access to a variety of cosmetics. This season will have plenty of new weekly mission content, unlocking over 100 new rewards over the course of this season. The Avatar: The Last AirbenderBrawlhalla skins will also be available in the in-game store over this weekend, in celebration of the Netflix live-action TV show.
Brawlhalla is a free-to-play 2D action fighter and brawler game featuring a wide variety of online multiplayer modes and matches. Developed by Blue Mammoth Games and published by Ubisoft, this game offers players a large roster of playable characters, numerous fighting arenas, tons of customization, and much more.
