Today, NVIDIA shared various announcements ahead of next week's Game Developers Conference. To begin with, one of the most anticipated games slated in 2024, Ubisoft Massive's Star Wars Outlaws, will feature NVIDIA DLSS 3 integration, ray traced effects, and Reflex. The game is also the highlight of this GeForce NOW Thursday, as it will also be playable via NVIDIA's cloud platform, with Ultimate subscribers able to take advantage of all the aforementioned technologies.

Another long-awaited game scheduled to launch on August 20, the open world action RPG Black Myth: Wukong, will support NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 (Ray Reconstruction) and 'full ray tracing', which should mean essentially path tracing akin to Cyberpunk 2077 or Alan Wake 2.
The same features are also coming to the popular live service game NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. Developer 24 Entertainment is expected to add full ray tracing soon, starting with three areas that are accessible through both PVP and PVE modes, with further areas receiving the same upgrade over time.
NVIDIA then said The First Berserker: Khazan, the upcoming single player action RPG based in the Dungeon and Fighter universe, will support DLSS 3 and Reflex when it launches.
Today, NVIDIA also released an upgrade for Portal with RTX, adding DLSS 3.5 (Ray Reconstruction) and RTX IO. Ray Reconstruction improves the fidelity of ray tracing as well as the responsiveness of the dynamic light effects. As for RTX IO, NVIDIA says texture load timeshare is reduced by up to 5X, and the disk drive footprint of Portal with RTX is also reduced by 37%.
We also got the launch date for Diablo IV's ray tracing update, which is now set to release on March 26. Armor, water, windows, and other suitably reflective surfaces will now feature accurate, realistic ray-traced reflections and ray-traced transparent reflections. The game's shadows will also be enhanced with ray tracing, adding extra detail to all scenes.
Sengoku Dynasty is out now in early access with DLSS 3, while Outcast: A New Beginning will be released tomorrow with DLSS 2 and DLAA. Lastly, NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 (Ray Reconstruction) is coming soon to the RTX Remix Open Beta.

The remake of Star Wars KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) is alive and well. That's the promise made to the countless fans of the game by Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch, speaking to IGN. The executive also said the studio is 'dedicated to making sure consumer expectations are exceeded', which likely hints at several years of development still needed. Indeed, Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors recently admitted the game needed more than a year of production.
Vladimir Putin has signed off on a plan to create Russia's own consoles and Steam-like platform. This is one of nine instructions that are supposed to promote the socio-economic development of the region of Kaliningrad, the Russian exclave located between Lithuania and Poland. The region is a Special Economic Zone where manufacturers can enjoy tax breaks; moreover, a silicon production facility was recently established there.
A few days ago, Kotaku published a report suggesting Grand Theft Auto 6 may be delayed to late 2025 or even 2026. We didn't report on it because it seemed ephemeral rather than substantial, which Bloomberg's Jason Schreier (formerly of Kotaku himself) has now confirmed.
[UPDATE] Fellow South Korean website Inven actually transcribed the whole investor (as spotted by MassivelyOP) meeting and, as it turns out, Acting Chairman Park Byeong-moo specifically mentioned Guild Wars 3. So, it's official now.
We knew Gearbox Software was about to be sold by Embracer, and today, Take-Two announced it had reached an agreement to purchase the 25-year-old Texan developer for $460 million.
NVIDIA revealed today that the sci-fi first-person shooter/tower defense/base building hybrid game Outpost: Infinity Siege will support DLSS 3 (Frame Generation + Super Resolution) and Reflex at launch.
As I mentioned in my Dragon's Dogma 2 review, despite the announcement of NVIDIA DLSS 3 being available at launch, NVIDIA's frame generation technique is nowhere to be found.
There's great news for gamers interested in playing Dragon's Dogma 2 without having a beefy PC: NVIDIA has just announced that CAPCOM's open world game will be available at launch via its GeForce NOW cloud platform. Despite the fact that the previous installment is supported on GeForce NOW, the same was far from a given for the sequel. While the Japanese publisher has agreed to add games like Exoprimal, Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7, and Devil May Cry 5 to GFN, Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 are still nowhere to be seen, and the same goes for Street Fighter 6.
Following his big GTC 2024 keynote where he announced the new Blackwell GPU architecture, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang answered several questions as part of a Q&A session with the press. Tom's Hardware has reported an interesting tidbit regarding the NVIDIA CEO's prediction for the future of AI in gaming: he reckons that in ten years or even less than that, AI could generate all of a game's pixels in real time.
As anticipated earlier this month, the PC version of The Last of Us Part I has been updated to version 1.1.3 to add support for AMD FSR 3 Super Resolution and Frame Generation.
During today's GTC 2024 keynote, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang showed a new AI NPC demo called Covert Protocol. Unlike the Kairos demo demonstrated at CES 2024, which was based on Convai technology, this one is powered by Inworld AI, the other major AI NPC platform geared towards game development. As you may recall, Inworld AI was first added by modder 'Bloc' in games like Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Grand Theft Auto V, though Rockstar quickly took that down to the dismay of the creator.
