WWE 2K24 Full Launch Roster Includes Over 220 Superstars with a Few Key Names Excluded

Enshrouded, the new game from the makers of Portal Knights that mashes up Valheim with a bit of Zelda, is the latest indie survival success on the scene, having attracted over 2 million players since launching in Steam Early Access in January. Well, now Enshrouded developer Keen Games has revealed what they plan to add to the game before its 1.0 launch next year, and it’s a packed list.

After numerous delays, the anticipated System Shock remake launched on PC to solid reviews and enthusiastic fan response early last year, but when do console players get in on the retro cyberpunk fun? Developer Nightdive Studios have always said a console version of the new System Shock was in the works (which sets it apart from the PC-only original) but have been a bit cagey about when it might arrive.

It seems like the gaming industry, at least the traditional console-driven industry, is rapidly approaching some sort of inflection point. Xbox is bringing more of their games to other platforms, amid consistent speculation they may be stepping back from the console business, and PlayStation is hinting they may pursue a more aggressive PC release schedule even as PS5 sales continue to outpace the PS4. Meanwhile, one publisher after another announces deep layoffs and cancellations.

Update: Well, here’s a weird one – apparently this update accidentally gave players access to Spider-Man 2’s developer debug mode. Insomniac is warning that entering debug mode could corrupt saves, although playing as normal shouldn’t cause an issue (you need to enter a button combination to activate debug mode). Needless to say, Insomniac will likely be patching up this whoopsie soon, but they may have opened up a bit of a Pandora’s box.

Back in late 2020 new Montreal-based studio Reflector Entertainment made a bit of splash when they revealed Unknown 9: Awakening at The Game Awards. The game’s reveal cinematic was very impressive, and next-gen consoles had just launched, so there was some hope that this was perhaps what we could expect from the new generation (sadly, not quite). Reflector also had ambitious plans for a full Unknown 9 multimedia universe with novels, comics, and more announced. Annnd then we didn’t really hear anything further about Unknown 9 for years, to the point many suspected it was vaporware.

2019’s The Sinking City was a solid entry in the growing catalogue of Lovecraft-inspired horror and adventure games, which later became better-known for the bitter legal battle over the game between developer Frogwares and publisher Nacon. Frogwares was ultimately successful in that battle, and today during the latest Xbox Partner Preview showcase, they announced The Sinking City 2 is on the way.

's official roster is now available in full. Including 250 superstars, a slight increase over 's roster of 246, is one of the biggest video games in recent years. While the bulk of its wrestlers and managers will be available at launch, several others will be released as DLC on a rough monthly schedule. Announced just before the 2024 Royal Rumble, arrives in plenty of time for Wrestlemania XL.

We’ve already had an unusual number of showcases and announcements this year, and it seems this particular train is going to keep right on rolling. Today Microsoft announced an Xbox Partner Preview, which will showcase over a dozen trailers for games coming to PC, Xbox, and/or Game Pass.

2024 is set to be a pretty big year for RPGs, with the likes of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Dragon’s Dogma 2, and Avowed all queued up to launch, but what about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf? There have been a number of hints that BioWare’s latest may be nearing completion, but when might we actually get our hands on it?

WWE 2K24 will be launching with over 200 names, but, as usual, the game will also have a season pass that adds a number of additional superstars to the roster. The season pass will include some major recent additions to the WWE roster, including CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, and Kairi Sane, as well as some legends including Diamond Dallas Page, Lex Luger, and the Iron Sheik. Oh, and you’ll also be able to play as Post Malone, because sure, why not?

Today was Pokémon Day, marking the release of the original Game Boy titles in Japan, and Nintendo and The Pokémon Company used the occasion to reveal what’s coming next for the franchise. The big news was the announcement of the next major core entry in the series, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which won’t be coming until 2025. This means 2024 will be the first year in a long time without any new console Pokémon game, although fans may not actually be that upset by that, as many have been urging Game Freak to take more time with their games following the messy launch of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Since being announced back in 2021, there have been a lot of questions about what Assassin’s Creed Infinity would even be. We've known Infinity would be a hub of sorts that connects other Assassin’s Creed experiences and includes online elements, but beyond that, things have remained sketchy. Well, we now have some more details from insider Tom Henderson, who has a very good track record when it comes to all things Ubisoft. According to Henderson, he’s laid eyes on demo footage of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, and, surprise surprise, it sounds like it will be a heavily live-service-focused product.
