World of Warcraft Classic just announced Season of Discovery is beginning Phase 3 on April 4. This next update increases the level cap for the World of Warcraft servers to 50, adds new Rune engravings for the Helm and Bracer slots, and adds a raid, PvE event, and more for players to discover.
Season of Discovery is World of Warcraft Classic’s newest experiment that introduces drastic changes and twists to the retro formula. The experience is broken into phases, each of which has new class-altering Rune engravings, world events, and raids at each respective World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery level cap.
Now, fans can enjoy the third phase of Season of Discovery soon, as World of Warcraft has revealed Season of Discovery Phase 3 is set to begin on April 4. This update will add new Rune engraving unlocks for Helms and Bracers, introduce the Nightmare Incursions PvE event, and a 20-man raid version of Sunken Temple raid at the raised level cap of 50.
Nightmare Incursions are a new repeatable world activity that acts as a story tie-in to the Sunken Temple, but is available to characters as early as level 25. Players will cross into the Emerald Nightmare through the dream portals in Ashenvale, Duskwood, Hinterlands, and Feralas to earn new items, gain reputation with the Emerald Wardens, and learn more about the story unfolding of the corruption of the Emerald Dream in World of Warcraft. The Sunken Temple raid itself contains eight bosses, class quest rewards, and tons of new loot for fans to collect.
There are some other exciting features coming in Phase 3 of Season of Discovery as well. The Blood Moon event from WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2 is being expanded to the higher level cap with all new currencies and rewards to earn. Additionally, Dual Talent Specialization – the Wrath of the Lich King feature that lets players have two separate talent trees they can switch between – will be unlockable for 50 gold per character.
The existing 100% experience boost for Season of Discovery characters up to level 40 will remain in Phase 3, but players will also now get a 50% buff up to level 50. Fans can also get tons of experience through Nightmare Incursions, and will be able to gain levels quickly by defeating bosses in Gnomeregan, WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2’s raid. Leveling in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery will be easier than ever once Phase 3 begins.

World of Warcraft just buffed the drop chance for the Noble Flying Carpet mount from the Noblegarden event. From now until the event ends on April 8, fans have a better chance of looting this rare World of Warcraft mount, with an even higher chance on the first kill of the day.
A Drake’s Big Basket of Eggs, a World of Warcraft toy added to Noblegarden last year, now works with Dracthyr, allowing the characters to carry the basket in their mouths just like their Dragonriding mounts. This hilarious and adorable interaction was made possible thanks to changes to the Dracthyr Soar racial ability in a previous World of Warcraft patch.
The new Duck Disguiser toy added to the Noblegarden event in World of Warcraft takes six years to get all of its color variations. This bizarre unlock process is not account-wide, causing no small amount of frustration among World of Warcraft players.
