Warcraft Rumble just teased the arrival of the Darkmoon Faire, a new PvE event coming to the mobile game. The iconic creepy carnival from World of Warcraft will be making its debut in Warcraft Rumble soon.
Since its launch last November, Warcraft Rumble has slipped into a regular release pattern, with a new season taking place once every month or so. However, besides a handful of exciting new Warcraft Rumble minis, not much new content has come to the tower defense mobile game since its release.
Now, it seems that is about to change. Warcraft Rumble recently shared a teaser on its official Twitter account teasing the Darkmoon Faire, its first PvE event, with a short video featuring the carnival’s iconic gateway in a direct reference to World of Warcraft. Fans can look forward to unique gameplay modifiers, rewards, and themes in the Darkmoon Faire event, though exactly what that will entail remains a mystery at press time.
The Darkmoon Faire is an iconic event that World of Warcraft players will recognize from as far back as vanilla. Cataclysm saw the Darkmoon Faire completely reworked into its own zone, full of minigames, repeatable quests, and new rewards. Hearthstone had its own take on the grim carnival in 2020 with the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card set, and it has even appeared at BlizzCon with real-life minigames and activities for fans to enjoy. Now, it is Warcraft Rumble’s turn to take on the Darkmoon Faire.
The Darkmoon Faire event could take place in Warcraft Rumble sometime in the two weeks before Season 5 begins, but fans will have to wait for more information to know for sure. It is unclear if the event will be a one-time thing, or if Warcraft Rumble will periodically bring the Darkmoon Faire back like WoW does. Either way, it seems like the Darkmoon Faire is the first of many events Warcraft Rumble is doing, so hopefully, fans will soon have all sorts of in-game activities to enjoy.
Either way, Warcraft Rumble players have plenty of other things to look forward to. The mobile game is currently working on Molten Core, its first co-op Raid, which features Ragnaros as an unlockable leader in Warcraft Rumble. It also previously teased the new Scholomance dungeon during BlizzCon, but little has been said about it since. Season 5 is expected to begin on April 17, bringing with it the new Faerie Dragon unit fans have been anticipating for months. If players are lucky, this new season might also add Moonglade, a new endgame zone that would be a perfect match for the season’s tricksy troop.
Blizzard's Warcraft Rumble is a mobile action strategy game that features both a single-player campaign and multiplayer PvP matches.
