Mortal Kombat 1 is available in early access this weekend, so we daresay a fair few of you will be digging into the gory brawler over the coming days. The release calendar is absolutely stacked with must-plays these next two months, though, so we're expecting WAYP to be vibrant and varied through to Christmas.
Lies of P wasn't on my radar at all, but after recording some footage for the review it's got its wooden claws in me.
I’m back from holiday and onto something for review. Time permitting, I’d like to get further into Sea of Stars, as I'm about eight hours in and really enjoying it!
I'm so sorry everyone, but it's still mainly Honkai: Star Rail for me. I will probably also put a bit of time into Mortal Kombat 1 as well, though.
I'm still making inroads into The Crew Motorfest, but I've been having a lot of fun with it so far. The map's really nice, there's lots of variety, and most importantly, the handling is night-and-day better than The Crew 2. I'll definitely stick with this for a while.
With no shortage of games to play, it's no surprise our team is all tackling different titles this weekend. But what about you? Let us know in the comments section below.
A true PlayStation veteran, Sammy's covered the world of PS gaming for years, with an enormous Trophy count to prove it. He also likes tennis games way more than you.
Baldur’s Gate 3 for me this weekend, of course!
I also picked up Marvel’s Spider-Man to see what the fuss about the sequel is. It’s okay so far.
Oh, and I have to avoid Lies of P spoilers until Tuesday.
Starfield — I think Im nearing the end of the main story, will probably wrap up some side missions first as I found them to be the best missions the game has to offer. But after that Im done. And I dont think I’ll replay it as I often do with Bethesdas RPGs, just dont see myself enjoying it enough. Not a bad game at all, its very good most of the time even with all the issues, its just not a great game imo.
The Crew Motorfest — played the trial for a bit. Very positively surprised at how good it was, like a mix of Forza Horizon and Need for Speed. Will be playing this one for sure.
I beat Starfield yesterday on the Xbox Series X after playing it for almost 70 hours.
Currently continuing my playthrough of Ace Attorney: Justice for All I started on my Switch before Starfield.
Planning on starting Firewatch later and finally starting either God of War: Ghost of Sparta or Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time on Ps3.
Might also start Baten Kaitos 1+2 HD on the switch.
Picked up Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak and will likely make use of the free multiplayer weekend. Let's see if it can finally dethrone Monster Hunter Freedom Unite as the best one

Hold on, we're in October already?! If you've somehow avoided the avalanche of new releases over the last few months, you might be looking forward to the PS Plus Essential drop next week. As always, three PS5 and PS4 games are up for grabs, and the variety on offer is honestly quite crazy.
@AgentCooper I love it when I stumble on a game and it has that effect… hopefully it’ll continue throughout your playthrough. Haven’t played the game myself but it does interest me so I’ll keep my eye out for your thoughts as you progress.
The sun is setting on another blissful week of gaming, but the release calendar is so utterly stacked there's still tons of titles to look forward to. Here's what we're playing this weekend.
Though there's many a huge RPG to play at the moment (recite the littany: Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield, Cyberpunk 2077) many of us in the treehouse have retreated to smaller, or at least less garganutan, games for our days off this weekend. Though of course there's something called Counter-Strike 2 happening at the moment. I dunno, doesn't sound like it's important to PC or anything.
Hi everyone, I need some recommendation on how to setup gaming night for 12-16 people.
Slitterhead fans think its developer is teasing some sort of collaboration with famed manga author Junji Ito.
There are two types of currency in Payday 3: straight-up cash and C-Stacks. Of the two, cash is probably the one you are most comfortable with. You earn it from robbing banks, you spend it by giving it to vendors, and you enjoy the product by shooting up a bank or something. Simple. Safe. Solid.
We're nearly into The Spooky Month, otherwise known as October, otherwise known as the month with all the games. There's a lot of stuff on the horizon to be excited about, but what are we playing in the meantime? Time to find out.
It's taken almost three years to get here, but we're confident in saying that Cyberpunk 2077 is now an excellent open world RPG. Update 2.0 just launched on PS5, and it makes a laundry list of improvements and adjustments to the game. Entire systems have been redone, combat has been refreshed, and overall, it just feels like a much better game — and we'd argue it's been pretty great since it released on PS5 last year.
It's almost time to get all philosophical — or maybe just solve some laser puzzles — as a release date for The Talos Principle 2 has just been announced. Devolver Digital and Croteam have released the above new trailer for the upcoming sequel, revealing a launch date of 2nd November, 2023.
