Developer and publisher Frontier Developments has released a new trailer for its upcoming real-time strategy game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin. The new trailer shows off the general gameplay of the upcoming title, and you can check it out below.
The trailer focuses on four major aspects of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin—the cinematic campaign, its comprehensive multiplayer options, the Eternal Conquest game mode, and the ability to express player creativity through various in-game tools and options.
The game’s main cinematic campaign revolves around its various factions and will feature a character driven story. The campaign is written by Black Library writer Gav Thorpe, who is known for publishing quite a few books across the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 settings.
On the multiplayer side of things, players will be able to partake in 1v1 and 2v2 matches with any mix of human and AI opponents. The game will also feature cross-platform multiplayer, as well as a competitive ladder for the 1v1 game mode.
Eternal conquest will allow players to take on what is essentially a procedurally generated campaign. Players will have to take on different enemies as they work their way towards the final enemy. Seeds for the procedural campaign can also be shared between players.
And finally, when it comes to player expression through the in-game creative tools, players will be able to create and share their own maps. True to being a Warhammer title, players will also be able to paint their own armies, as well as create full dioramas to show off their work.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 17.
