Hogwarts Legacy and Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon have swapped positions with one another to hand the Harry Potter simulator a top spot in the latest UK physical sales charts, while FromSoftware's mech game slips to fifth. The only new entry this week is at least an interesting one: the Premium Edition Upgrade for Starfield. This is a code in a box that grants five days of early access to the Bethesda RPG as well as the first story expansion, and it managed to rank seventh last week.
Other movers in the top 10 include LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga in second place (up from sixth) while Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate was bumped up a spot into sixth — presumably fueled by the excitement for this month's Mortal Kombat 1. The likes of FIFA 23, Grand Theft Auto V, and Minecraft round out the top 10 while the usual Nintendo Switch titles Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are ever-present.
Here's the latest top 10 in full.
Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
Great to hear that Hogwarts is still doing so well! It’s the one ps5 game that I actually really enjoyed this year.
Starfield is lower than I thought. Actually expected top 3. MK11 being in the top 10 before MK1 is out is surprising and kinda dumb honestly.
I will never not still be amazed that GTA V sells so well to this day. Is this the best ROI on a video game ever?
Not surprised to be Starfield premium edition as low as it is. It's sitting at the same scores on Metacritic and Opencritic as FFXVI.
It's a great score for a AAA 1st party Xbox game compared to the last one but not the system seller they were hoping for.
Shame.
That uptick in MK11 before MK1 is nice to see!
@Powerplay94 I´ve seen physical copies of MK11 Ultimate (both PS4 & PS5) go for as low as 20 euros here. I think many people who have been swept up in the MK1 hype but never played a MK game before satisfy their appetite for the moment with MK11. 20 euros is acceptable to try something out to see if you like it. I've been tempted to do that myself.
@General_Disarray @Powerplay94 it's not the full game, it's the standalone upgrade for the expansion & early access that's about $40
@Powerplay94 I'm NOT surprised at all — its basically just a code in a box to unlock the game 'early' and this doesn't count 'Digital' purchases — just Physical sales.
Starfield hasn't 'officially' launched yet and the 'only' people who can 'play' are those willing to pay for the 'Premium' edition/upgrade whilst 'everyone' else is waiting for the cheaper (but still £70) 'Standard edition'
