TopSpin 2K25 has been announced by 2K Games, 13 years after the series last had an outing through Top Spin 4. Aside from the trailer there are no further details regarding TopSpin 2K25, including no platforms or release date. It would be expected to be released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S at the least. Whether 2K chooses to bring the game to PS4 and Xbox One will remain to be seen.
In the description on YouTube for this trailer, it says, “The worlds of tennis and 2K have collided. TopSpin 2K25 is the next must-play sports game from 2K that fully immerses fans into the world of tennis. Unveiled in conjunction with the Australian Open, 2024’s first Grand Slam, TopSpin 2K25 is now available for a first look.”
Top Spin 4 was the last game in the series, releasing back in 2011 for PS3, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii. That was developed by 2K Czech which eventually merged with Hangar 13. It is Hangar 13 that is developing TopSpin 2K25.

Publisher 2K revealed Tuesday that TopSpin 2K25 will arrive soon, pairing the announcement with a teaser trailer. The development also comes in the heels of the ongoing Australian Open, capitalising on the tennis fever the first Grand Slam of the year brings with it. Leaks have claimed for a couple of years that a new Top Spin game is in development at Hangar 13, the studio that developed Mafia 3. That has now been officially confirmed by 2K Games in the form of TopSpin 2K25, the tennis series’ first instalment in over a decade.
