“The RuneScape Returns” update for Smite is here, marking their second collaboration, this time featuring three new RuneScape  characters as new skins for Smite gods. RuneScape is also getting its own official cookbook, for a taste of Gielinor.

Despite having been released over ten years ago, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim continues to be among the most popular games still played to this day. Still, a modern remake taking advantage of the latest technology would be rather welcome, as highlighted by a new video shared online this week.

CD Projekt RED's Colin Walder, engineering director for management and audio, has shared a few thoughts on how the Polish developer's next Witcher RPG, codenamed Polaris, will improve on the cataclysmic development of Cyberpunk 2077. There's not a lot to share at this stage, of course, but what there is sounds like a step in the right direction.

The fleetingly Epic Games-owned online audio distribution company Bandcamp have shed "at least" half their staff in the course of being sold off to Songtradr as part of mass layoffs at Epic this summer. That's according to the union Bandcamp United, who are even now restarting discussions with Epic in the hope of obtaining a better outcome.

Bandai Namco has debuted a new developer diary series for Sand Land, the upcoming sandbox action game based on Akira Toriyama's one-volume manga. Just about everything that we've seen of the title so far has shown promise, and the new gameplay that's on display here — along with explanations of mechanics from producer Keishu Minami — has only served to enhance our enthusiasm. Sony has officially confirmed the selection of games being added to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium this month. Those subscribers at Extra-tier will be able to dive into a number of games well-suited to Halloween.

This past week, Blizzard revealed Chris Metzen has taken on a more formal role as Executive Creative Director of the Warcraft universe. First, I hope he has taken some time to learn how to notice the warning signs of bad behavior so he can help prevent further harm to the devs working on the various games we love. In his statement after the news about it all broke, and so many people broke their silence, he indicated that he wanted to do better in the future. This is his chance to really be present and there for everyone. Secondly, there are a few fascinating tidbits in this announcement that piqued my interest. Maybe I’m just getting hyped for Blizzcon, but I wanted to delve further into some of this statement.

With the Season of Blood coming October 17th, the Diablo 4 team has set a date for their next Campfire Chat livestream to talk about the season and upcoming improvements.
