Falcom is taking a break from The Legend of Heroes: Trails series this year following three back-to-back entries in Japan. While Ys 10: Nordics is the focus for 2023, the next entry in theTrails series is confirmed to launch by September 2024, per the company’s recent financial report.
There are currently no details on what it could entail, though it may be the third and final title in the Calvard arc. The second game, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki 2 -CRIMSON SiN- was released last year for PS4 and PS5 in Japan before launching on Steam earlier this year for Asia. Expect more information in the coming year.
As for the West, Falcom and NIS America are bringing the first Kuro no Kiseki, known as The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak, to PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC in Summer 2024. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4 are also launching for PS5 on February 16th, 2024.
