Like every video game, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was built on a foundation of art that helped inform its design. Developer Insomniac Games has put its own spin on its world of friendly neighborhood Spider-Men, and if you wanted a look at the behind-the-scenes process of creating this spider-sequel, then you can now grab a preorder of The Art of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 ahead of its April 2024 release.
This art book will be available in two editions--a standard and a deluxe version--and is packed with never-before-seen concept art, creator commentary, and storyboards across 248 pages that show just how the game came together. The regular edition is priced at $45 on Amazon (normally $50) and is an oversized hardcover book that celebrates the art and artistry behind this game.
The deluxe version is pricier at $90 (although its MSRP is $100) but it comes with some fantastic extras. In addition to the art book, you'll get a different cover, a slick slipcase, and a gallery-quality print that you can have framed. For Spider-Fans looking to expand their time with the excellent sequel, this is a must-have book, and for anyone looking to pick up a gift for someone special next year, this makes for a thoughtful present for any Spider-Man fan in your home.
For something more immediate, Amazon currently has a big sale on video game art books and guides. Right now, you can pick up The Art of Dead Space for just $24, The Art of God of War Ragnarok for $29, and the Final Fantasy VII Remake: Material Ultimania book for $25. Many of these books are also eligible for the current Buy One Get One Free promotion at Amazon, giving you a great opportunity to expand your gaming art book library.

features an engaging — and often dark — narrative that includes many notable deaths. This has pushed the heroes of Insomniac's universe into some interesting new places, but it also means that several villains have met their ends by the time the credits roll — and even before the start of the game. Surprisingly, though, many of these deaths occur off-screen and may be easily missed if players aren't paying attention during a specific mission.
