Tekken 8 Fans Are Really Sick Of Azucena Talking About Coffee

Tekken 8 players are getting really sick of newcomer Azucena talking about coffee all the time, as it's pretty much the only part of her personality we've been let in on.
One of the best things about Tekken 8 is its roster, which is made up of beloved series veterans and some of the all-time best newcomers to join Tekken in a long time - Azucena, Reina, and Victor. Although Reina has instantly stood out as the most popular out of the three, fans have also shared a whole lot of love for Victor and Azucena since Tekken 8 launched.
Although Azucena's fighting style has been praised as one of the most unique in Tekken 8, fans do have a pretty big problem with her - all she talks about is coffee. From the moment she was first revealed, it was made clear that Azucena was (understandably) a big fan of the drink and would be talking about it a lot.
It was also said to be an important part of her background since her family owned a coffee farm and she was raised there. So, going into Tekken 8, we all knew it'd be a core part of her personality, but no one was expecting it to be quite so prevalent. Over on the Tekken subreddit, Redditor CyberSektor asked fans if she has a single voice line that isn't related to coffee in some way.
The answer, if you haven't guessed it, is a resounding no - all of Azuecena's intro dialogues and character motivations are to do with coffee, and fans aren't very happy about it. One Redditor said, "Feel bad for Peru that this is their “representation”, while another expressed disappointment that there's not more to her character, saying, "I thought I'd like her when she was announced, but her character is rubbish".
What's even more disappointing about Azucena's portrayal is that the story mode hints at a darker (roast) side to her, as she chooses to side with Kazuya to help her brand out. That could be an interesting avenue to explore, but it also all comes down to her love of coffee and wanting to expand her business.
It's possible that there's more to Azucena than meets the eye and that we'll find out more about her in future Tekken games (which she seems guaranteed to be a part of considering how popular her moveset is in Tekken 8), but for now it seems as if fans are quickly growing tired of the gimmick.
