The upcoming DC Studios movie may have found its director, and it’s someone who’s helmed female-led films before.
Deadline has reported that Craig Gillespie is in talks to direct the Milly Alcock-led superhero movie. Previously, Gillespie has directed movies like Lars and the Real Girl and 2011’s Fright Night, and more recently, 2017’s I, Tonya and the live-action Disney movie Cruella.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will be based on Tom King’s 2021-2022 comic book series, which was illustrated by Bilquis Evely. It will be led by House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock, who will play the titular role of Kara Zor-El, and will be written by Ana Nogueira and produced by DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran.
“We see the difference between Superman, who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he was an infant, versus Supergirl, who was raised on a rock, a chip off Krypton and watched everyone around her die and be killed in terrible ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then came to Earth when she was a young girl,” said Gunn of the project. “She’s much more hardcore; she’s not exactly the Supergirl we’re used to seeing.”

Overwatch 2, Season 10, entitled “Venture Forth” arrives tomorrow and Blizzard has fully spelled out what it will entail. The season will introduce new drill-wielding, underground burrowing hero Venture, but that’s not all. Players can look forward to the “Mirrorwatch” event, which sees several characters swap alignment from hero to villain, and vice-versa, resulting in new looks and tweaked movesets, the launch of the capture point Clash mode, big changes to how heroes are accessed (they’re all free immediately upon release now), and more. Final Fantasy 14’s crossover with Final Fantasy 16, as teased last year, arrives tomorrow. The crossover between the MMO and latest single-player entry in the RPG series has the usual selection of goodies up for grabs, including a very cute minion, a not-so-cute (but still kind of cute) mount, some Clive-cleavage armour and more.
Like any good open-world RPG, features many collectible items for a player to add to their pack. Some are crafting materials, some are used to enhance equipment, while others are used to heal or recover stamina. There are items, however, that serve very little use outside of being sold to make a tidy profit. New equipment costs a lot of gold, after all, and an Arisen will need that gold to stake their claim to the throne.

Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man and many more classic superheroes will compete in 6v6 battles across a variety of maps, duking it out to stop Doctor Doom and his 2099 counterpart from taking over the multiverse.
