Rocksteady Studios has confirmed that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which has been known to be a live-service multiplayer shooter for some time, will receive an offline story mode sometime next year after its February launch.

Despite its gameplay debut going over as well as Snorlax clearing a high jump, WB Games’ and Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League moves on — shattered femurs notwithstanding. And you may be able to try Suicide Squad later this month during a closed alpha playtest you can sign up for now.
The closed Suicide Squad playtest cracks off next week. WB Games sent out the invite earlier today, allowing some a chance to sign up ahead of time. The test starts on November 30 at 6 am PT and ends on December 4 at midnight PT. Warner Bros. states in the invite that the Suicide Squad playtest is comprised of a “smaller, specific section of the campaign” and “will not be representative of the full/final experience.”
According to the invite, the technical test is opening for a “limited audience.” You can sign up and pick a platform, which includes PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). But you’ll need to sign an NDA to participate, which restricts you from sharing images or screenshots, video, or any impressions. As typical with closed tests, there’ll be a watermark superimposed on your gameplay that’s meant to shy folks away from sharing anything.
The test is, of course, preparing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for its big launch next year. Rocksteady’s next action game was meant to land this last May. It got hit by a massive delay, pushing it to February 2, 2024 (so far). The delay notice came out not long after its gameplay trailer reveal during Sony’s State of Play. It wasn’t fully known if the unenthused reactions caused the delay, but it seemed folks were more cautious over the apparent live-service features of the game.
Either way, some players will be able to check out the game for the first time in just over a week. Hopefully, the delay will bear some fruit. Personally, I am somewhat interested in trying out the game and seeing what I can do as Captain Boomerang armed with his iconic shotgun.
Rocksteady Studios has confirmed that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which has been known to be a live-service multiplayer shooter for some time, will receive an offline story mode sometime next year after its February launch.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is starting to look like maybe it might be better than it first appeared, but one big knock against it for me and an awful lot of others out there is its connectivity requirement: You have to be online to play, even if you want to play by yourself. If there's one thing we've learned from games like Payday 3, that can be a real headache when the servers can't keep up, or worse, go offline for good. And there's the simple principle of the thing too, which is what really chaps me. Why should I have to be online to play by myself?
If you were put off by the idea that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an always-online game, I have some good news: Rocksteady Studios confirmed that it will make the story mode available offline, but only after the game releases.
As sad as it sounds, Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League is a regular at The Game Awards. Why? Because it was supposed to have been out by now in many ways, and yet, it keeps getting delayed, so new insights and trailers keep showing up at Geoff Keighley’s show. Sure enough, tonight, we got a new trailer that reinforced the game’s story and why the squad was summoned to kill the Justice League. The good news is that the title got its “presumed” final release date outside of the new trailer, and it’s a lot closer than you might think.
A new was shown off at The Game Awards 2023, showing the titular team taking on DC‘s greatest heroes.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been in development for a long time; by the time it comes out next year, it will have been nine years since Rocksteady's last game. But after years of secret development and repeated delays, it's finally around the corner, and The Game Awards just gave us our latest look. See for yourself in the trailer below:
Monolith Productions’ Wonder Woman has yet to appear during The Game Awards, but don’t worry. Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has received a new trailer, showcasing boss battles against various members of the League. Check it out below.
A few days ago, we reported on a potential roster leak for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Today one of those character names was directly confirmed.
A new playable villain for has been revealed through data mining. The next entry in Rocksteady and Warner Bros' Arkhamverse will see players taking control of Amanda Waller's Task Force X, a team comprised of some of the DC Universe's rogues, with Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang taking on a brainwashed Justice League throughout the game's campaign.
New rumors have come up for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.
Amanda Waller did not approve of this leak.
The more we hear about Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, the more we’re wondering if this game will be something worth playing or whether it’ll be a hot mess. When the title was first unveiled via the pandemic-born DC Fandome, fans were excited! This was the following to the games that Rocksteady did with Batman, and fans trusted that they would do well with the Suicide Squad. However, delays kept pushing the game’s release date back more and more, and then, some more recent insights into the title have made fans wonder if Rocksteady knows what they’re doing. And now, there are rumors of DLC.
