Capcom may be preparing to release a Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo.
That’s according to an update to Dragon’s Dogma 2 on Steam’s backend, which was logged by tracking site SteamDB and spotted by a Reddit user.
It added a new ‘Free on Demand’ package to the game on Valve’s marketplace – the typical designation given to most Steam demos, PCGamesN reports.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on March 22, 2024.
The action RPG sequel will be Capcom’s first $70 game, and the company recently suggested that future titles may also carry the increased price point.
During an earnings Q&A session in January, the company said it was considering reviewing its software pricing strategy following the game’s release next month.
“Industry-wide development costs are rising, and we are considering a price review as one option,” the company told shareholders.
“Ultimately, we intend to take a thoughtful approach in pricing our games while ascertaining user feedback.”
A recently launched Capcom survey asks players if they want to see sequels or remakes of certain current and old series.
Okami, Dead Rising, Dino Crisis, Final Fight and Vs Capcom are among the series named.
