Starfield may not be the best-looking open-world RPG released in recent times, but its visuals are only a few tweaks away from being stunning, as showcased in a new video shared online this month.
The video, which was put together by Ultimate Graphics, shows the game running at 5K resolution (5120x2880p) with the Ultimate Graphics preset, which introduces realistic lighting and colors as well as screen space ray-traced global illumination support, the Gravity LUT, Halk Hogan's HD Reworked Project and other mods. With these mods, the game truly looks phenomenal.
While modders are releasing plenty of visual and gameplay improvements for Starfield, Bethesda hasn't been idle, releasing a new beta update last week which introduced improved widescreen support, some DLSS and FSR2 fixes, improved lighting, bug fixes, and much more. More on this update can be found here.
Starfield is now available on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide. You can learn more about the latest Bethesda game by checking out my review.
With an engaging story, well-developed characters and lore, and a huge amount of meaningful content, Starfield is one of Bethesda's finest games and one of the best role-playing games released in the past few years. The lack of seamless exploration and real innovation of the typical gameplay formula from the studio are noteworthy, but those willing to forego these issues will find a reactive and sprawling sci-fi universe to lose themselves in for hundreds, if not thousands, of hours.
