Starfield is getting an FOV slider and DLSS support from Bethesda

Delightful destructive heist sim Teardown is getting four paid DLCs, with the first to be released on November 15th. It's called Time Campers and will transport players back in time with a caravan to tackle new heists with "old-timey tools and architecture" in the Wild West.

An update for Starfield has been released today, but temper your expectations: the patch is a small one aimed at closing some exploits and fixing a few bugs. The other stuff players have been waiting for, like the missing FOV slider and brightness controls, DLSS and ultrawide monitor support, and city maps, still haven't arrived.

Starfield is getting support for Nvidia DLSS in a future update. In a blog post, Bethesda claimed that it will address some of the highly-requested features and make quality-of-life improvements through a series of regular updates. These include an in-game FOV slider, which so far, players have been adjusting by editing a .ini text file, alongside brightness and contrast controls, and an HDR calibration menu. But before that, the developer has dropped a small hotfix today, to help iron out any ‘top blocker bugs' that are interfering with the general experience in the beloved space RPG. Dubbed version 1.7.29, the hotfix brings improvements to Starfield's performance on the Xbox Series S/X by reducing crashes. It also fixes some quest-ending bugs.

Bethesda has detailed a number of incoming quality-of-life improvements and expanded graphical options headed to Starfield in a regular series of updates.

Starfield gives its players a lot of stealth tools and one player has used them all to make the game play like Dishonored. By combining the best powers, weapons, skills, and armor, this player has made Starfield look like Dishonored in space.

Starfield developer Bethesda has outlined a raft of improvements coming to the space role-playing game post-launch.

Bethesda has noted that it will be including Nvidia DLSS support in a future update for Starfield, along with a selection of the «top community requested features» that have been reported since the game launched. The announcement has been included in the short patch notes for today's hotfix update, which includes some stability and frame rate tweaks.
