In the DLC, players will have to climb the Spire of Order, and battle against a variety of different enemies on different floors, all while completing different objectives. Throughout the floors, you’ll also gain different abilities that can be upgraded and permanently kept along your run.

Alongside the game’s DLC, Nintendo also teased that a new season of content would be coming to Splatoon 3 beginning on March 1. The new season will see new multiplayer stages, weapons, and items.

When I reviewedSplatoon 3 in 2022, I found myself impressed by what a robust suite of content it offered at launch. It had a solid single-player campaign, great competitive multiplayer, a killer PVE mode in Salmon Run, and even a fun card minigame. All of those disparate modes meshed together perfectly to makeSplatoon 3 the kind of game you could pick away at for hundreds of hours. And with its latest DLC, called Side Order, that’s more true than ever.
DLC finally has a release date and received a new trailer alongside the announcement. In true FromSoftware fashion, there are a lot of hidden details and new enemies in the trailer. But that also means there's plenty of room for speculation while waiting for the DLC to fully release.
