Warning: Spoilers ahead for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.Spider-Man 2fans would love for Marvel’s Venom to have a traversal feature involving Venom’s wings. It’s a feature that would be unlike anything players have seen in Insomniac’s Spider-Man series thus far, as even web wings could not compete with actual flight.
In December of last year, the game development studio behind Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac Games, was hit with a devastating ransomware attack. The data that hackers got ahold of included the personal information of Insomniac employees, Wolverine gameplay, and a release line-up of games for the next decade. One of the games on that list was a Venom spin-off seemingly titled Venom: Lethal Protector, which is scheduled to come out sometime next year, and fans are already speculating about what traversal could be like as Venom.
A Reddit user by the name of HauntingFly brought up the idea of Venom having flying traversal. This would make sense for Insomniac to put in the game, considering Venom grows a pair of wings in one of his final forms during the last boss fight. While a lot of users agreed that Venom should be able to use his wings in the game, a few people weren’t super into this idea. Venom having wings is a fairly recent addition to his character, with their first appearance coming in a comic run from 2018. So, more old-school fans of the Spider-Man villain found his wings to be a bit jarring.
Traversing a game’s world can sometimes be a huge part of what makes it fun to play. Insomniac Games has proven itself capable of creating fun and engaging traversal systems with games such as Sunset Overdrive and Marvel’s Spider-Man. Insomniac built on the systems established in the first game and Miles Morales to make getting around the newly expanded New York City so satisfying that it almost makes fast travel seem futile. The addition of new aerial tricks and web-swinging abilities were nice improvements, but the most notable inclusion was the web wings that Miles and Peter can use in tandem with web-swinging to get across the city. Insomniac could do something similar with Venom’s wings inVenom: Lethal Protector to make the traversal in that game feel good for players while still making it unique to Venom and his abilities.
Even though the Venom spin-off game is slated to come out in 2025 according to leaked data, Insomniac Games has released no official information about the project. So whether fans will get to play as Venom again, let alone see him spread his wings, remains to be seen.
The sequel to 2018's Spider-Man and its Miles Morales spin-off, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a PS5 console exclusive. Insomniac's open-world game features Peter Parker and Miles Morales as dual protagonists, with the

Some fans think that Starfield should take some inspiration from the Fallout series by introducing floating robots and drones to the game. With the game being set in the year 2330, these fans think that Starfield's futuristic theme would have no issue introducing artificial constructs such as these. Considering that the game is very tech-based, it could add more depth to robot-related gameplay and change up a few mechanics to make Starfield's hypothetical drones even more interesting.
