Sonic the Hedgehog will be kicking off a very busy 2024 for him and his friends with additions to the blue blur's already pretty extensive Funko Pop! collection. Technically, Sonic is closing 2023 with new Pops as the figures revealed before Christmas are now available to pre-order. Super Shadow, Metal Sonic, and even Ring Scatter Sonic. They're all available now, and the only catch is they won't be in your hands until at least the end of February.
If the Shadow and Super Shadow two-pack is the product that caught your eye when the first images started to circulate online earlier this month, you'll need to go to GameStop. The Pops are also only available as a pair, to its Shadow and Super Shadow or nothing. Amy, Metal Sonic. Ring Scatter Sonic, and Dr. Eggman's Funko Pop! ride are also available at GameStop now, all releasing on February 26 other than Ring Scatter Sonic which won't be here until April 10.
Shadow and Super Shadow's Funko Pops are part of a two-pack and can't be bought separately. Both come with transparent stands to make it look like they're levitating above the ground.
The only other figure from the new selection of Sonic Pops not launching until April is the Super Sonic Funko. A new look for the blue blur when powered by Chaos Emeralds which is available for pre-order now through the links below. All of the other new Sonic Pops revealed earlier this month are also available at multiple retailers, and it seems the Shadow and Super Shadow two-pack is the only one that's exclusive to a single storefront.
When Sonic has been given a yellow makeover, it means he has harnessed the power of all seven Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic. Not only does this Funko Pop! embody that, but there's a chance the figure you receive is the very special edition Chase version.
Funko Pops aren't the only Sonic toys you can buy to kick off your 2024. Shadow's Escape Lego set is available now, and according to the Lego site, the Knuckles Guardian set will be on sale from New Year's Day. Not only does the set mark the echidna's Lego debut, but it also includes the first-ever Rouge Minifigure, complete with a mech bat.
Amy, technically the first of Sonic's friends introduced when she debuted in Sonic CD, in Funko Pop! form. The figure comes complete with the pink hedgehog's iconic red and yellow hammer.
A big push for Sonic on the Lego and Funko Pop! front isn't a coincidence. Even though there are no Sonic games announced for 2024 yet, it's going to be a big year for the hedgehog and his buddies. Knuckles' TV show will debut on Paramount, Sonic Prime season three is coming to Netflix, and Sonic 3 will hit cinemas in December.
