The Pokemon Funko Pop! scene has started 2024 with a bang. Not only via the tease of a Pearlescent Lucario, hopefully available soon, but also the unveiling of three new figures, all of which are Pokemon making their Funko debuts. Luxray, Grookey, and Wooloo Funko Pops were all shown off for the first time earlier this week, and not only can you pre-order the trio at Amazon right now, but their release dates have also been confirmed.
Each of the three Funko Pops can be pre-ordered through the links in the boxes below, and each of them costs $12.99. The wait for Grookey, Luxray, and Wooloo won't be that long either, all three of them listed with a release date of February 19, 2024. If you'd prefer to buy the new figures elsewhere and save yourself $3 if you plan on picking up all three, there are also pre-orders available at Entertainment Earth. Again, links to the store pages can be found in the boxes below.
Luxray is the fully evolved form of Shinx, evolved from Luxio. The Electric-type lion-like Pokemon has been turned into a Funko Pop! for the very first time, its menacing look perfectly captured for its figure.
Although plenty of Pokemon who already have Pops have been getting flocked and pearlescent variants through the end of 2023 and into 2024, Grookey, Wooloo, and Luxray are the first new Pokemon to be inducted into its Funko Pop! world since October. That was when Umbreon and Aipom's figures went on sale, revealed a month earlier alongside Sobble's first figure.
Wooloo has been made to wait for its Funko Pop! debut, but its finally here. Haters will tell you Wooloo is just a sheep, but don't listen to them. It's so much more, and now you can be reminded of that every time you look at your Pokemon Funko collection.
On top of everything else we're already getting this year on the Pokemon Pop! front, there's also a Deluxe Pop! Moment on the horizon. A first for Pokemon, Funko's Moment Pops recreate iconic scenes rather than individual people and characters. The first image of the Pokemon Moment circulated on social media and recreates picking your starter Pokemon in Red & Blue. A video game milestone for pretty much anyone in their early to mid-30s, the Moment has Bitty Pop! Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle figures sitting on a table in Professor Oak's lab, waiting to be chosen.
The addition of Grookey to Pokemon's Funko Pop! collection means all of the Galar starters now have their own figures. Scorbunny was first, Sobble followed, and Grookey completes the set.
All of the best Pokemon Pops available right now can be found in our guide, and you can rest assured one or two of the figures you can now pre-order will be added to that list shortly. Nothing new to report on the Squishmallow front,
