With just days to go until the official release of the latest Nvidia graphics cards, some lucky PC gamers got their hands on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER a little early. The individuals who received these Nvidia GPUs before their intended release days posted their testimonies and screenshots on social media as proof.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER are among the RTX 40 SUPER Series GPUs announced by Nvidia during the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Set to supersede the RTX 4070 Ti and the RTX 4080, the SUPER Series counterparts have 16GB of GDDR6X video memory, and both cards utilize a 256-bit memory interface bus. By comparison, the outgoing RTX 4070 Ti has 12GB of GDDR6X VRAM on a 192-bit memory bus. This means that the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will offer more memory bandwidth for the same initial MSRP as the RTX 4070 Ti. The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER will be released respectively on January 24 and January 31.
While the RTX 4070 SUPER has already hit stores, some PC builders acquired the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER before their official releases. According to Wccftech, a member of the Facebook group called «PC Builder and Setups Community» got their RTX 4080 SUPER graphics card over a week before release. Though the OP claimed that the GPU in question was an Asus ROG Strix model, the serial number was reportedly absent from the package. While it is not clear where or whom the OP got their RTX 4080 SUPER graphics card from, the legality of the sale was considered questionable. But that was not the only Nvidia graphics card to break the street date.
On Reddit, a user named LightMoisture posted a screenshot of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER on the r/Nvidia subreddit. The OP said that they bought their PNY-branded GPU through Best Buy and that it arrived two days before the official release. While both GPUs are powerful, they are essentially expensive paperweights until Nvidia GeForce Driver support arrives around their intended release date. LightMoisture replied that the initial tests they ran indicated that the PNY RTX 4070 Ti SUPER would be good to go once the drivers are released.
While both the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 SUPER are considered stopgaps for the current GPU generation, both could be among the top GPUs to get in 2024. It remains to be seen if Nvidia will offer discounts on currently available stock to make room for the RTX 40 SUPER Series.
ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 Ti OC Edition is one of the better performers in the GPU world. The card's core speeds reach 2790 MHz in OC mode and 2760 MHz in default mode. Axial-tech fans are integrated into the design to enhance airflow, increasing it by 31%.

The third of Nvidia’s Super GPUs to launch this month, the RTX 4080 Super is effectively a replacement for the existing RTX 4080 the company launched in 2022. The RTX 4080 Super brings 4K gaming to the market, with a drop in price to boot.
Nvidia’s latest super GPUs have finally hit shelves, bringing more value to the existing 40-series GPU lineup with the RTX 4070 Super and 4070 Ti Super (the RTX 4080 Super is following on Jan. 31). These new GPUs feature increased CUDA cores and clock speeds with the same amount of VRAM and power requirements as before. That said, the gen-to-gen improvements may not be impressive if you’ve been using any of the 2023’s RTX 40-series cards; someone who’s been using an RTX 30-series card or older for the past few years should certainly notice the difference.
The first benchmarks of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU have been leaked and they show similar performance as the 4080 Non-SUPER.
