Return to Monkey Island comes to Apple Arcade in June

Genuinely legendary game designer Ron Gilbert – whose works include the classic adventure game Monkey Island, the RTS Total Annihilation (as producer), and the term “cutscenes” – is making a new game.

Ron Gilbert is developing another game, and its premise is extremely exciting. Gilbert, who most famously created Monkey Island, is working on a retro RPG that he describes as "Classic Zelda meets Diablo meets Thimbleweed Park."

In 2022, fans of the 1990s adventure series Monkey Island finally got another game with Return to Monkey Island, which notably marked creator Ron Gilbert's first time directing a Monkey Island project in 30 years. Now, it looks like Gilbert has another project up his sleeve that's due out just two (or maybe three) years later.

Ubisoft will release Rocksmith+ for PlayStation consoles and Steam on June 6, 2024.

Ubisoft’s Rocksmith+ has proven to be a great source of learning music through play for fans across the globe, and the game will finally be making its way to Steam after being available on PC via the Ubisoft Store. For those unaware, Monkey Island is a series of pirate point-and-click games that were as funny as the puzzles were obscure. Thankfully, you don't have to intuit that you need to combine a cat whisker with a mason jar to bypass a skeleton guard to get to this new content, but it is more challenging than you might think.
