Capcom has announced a new sales milestone forResident Evil 4 remake, launched in March 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s sold over seven million units to date, up from the 6.48 million sold as of December 31st, 2023.
The sales increase follows the launch of the Gold Edition, which includes the base game and Separate Ways DLC, in February 2024. It also features all post-launch updates, like The Mercenaries and the Extra DLC Pack with various costumes, filters, accessories and Deluxe Weapons.
As a remake of the 2005 classic, Resident Evil 4 features heavily revamped visuals and new mechanics. Quick-time events are gone, and a new parry mechanic allows Leon to deflect attacks with his knife until it breaks. Other additions include auto-save, new enemy types, side missions known as Requests and more. Check out our review – we awarded it a 10 out of 10 – for more details.
