At the start of the game, the best weapons in Remnant 2 are totally secret. If you’re looking for an early advantage and want to start decimating horrific beings from beyond time and space, you’ll want to complete hidden events, solve secret puzzles, and (hopefully) reach randomized locations where you can grab powerful weapons. Every biome is partially randomized, but that randomness has limits. Usually, the same weapons will appear in the same locations — so we’re going to explain what it takes to get some of the hardest-to-find weapons in the early game. Some of these are also absolutely the best.
The MP60-R SMG side-arm is incredibly good in the early part of the game and can be acquired almost right away. By solving a puzzle in the hub area of Ward 13, you don’t even need to fight enemies to unlock it. Later weapons like the Plasma Cutter also require completing small, unmarked quests, but you’ll have to hunt down specific (and randomly generated) enemies to get it. Learn more in the full guide below, and we’ll mark which weapons we think are unmissable.

The following weapons are located on Earth (Hub) or N’erud. N’erud is the first major biome of the game, and some areas may not appear on your first playthrough. Replay on Adventure Mode to regenerate the world from scratch — you may encounter the right bosses or regions on a second (or third) run.
[BEST] MP60-R Location: Earth, Ward 13 – Input the code [0-4-1-5] in the locked chest in Ward 13, the main hub area. You can find the code on your flashlight if you inspect it. The code rewards you with a key. Take the key and go toward the shipping containers on the docks. There’s a locked door here that the key will open. Unlock the door to access the MP60-R.
Chicago Typewriter Location: Earth, Ward 13 – Very tricky to reach. To access Leto’s Stash and collect this SMG, you need to find a Portal Key in the Labyrinth biome. To do this, explore until you reach a portal with another portal behind it. Jump behind and enter the second portal — in the next area, progress until you find a missing section of wall on your left. Jump inside and carefully hop across the platforms to find a secret portal that leads back to Earth. Go inside and you’ll be able to loot this powerful weapon.
[BEST] Plasma Cutter Location: N’erud, Navigator’s Room – There’s a mysterious locked door in the Navigator’s Room in N’erud. To enter through the scanner, you’ll need to collect a Navigator helmet. Search the areas nearby for a creature in the open world wearing a helmet. Kill it to collect the helmet, then wear it to enter the room. The Plasma Cutter weapon is inside.
Pulse Rifle Location: N’erud, Abyssal Rift – To get

The cyberpunk future is never going to be a nice place. Life is cheap, corporations dominate all, and the sky is blotted out by spires insulating the rich from those living in the gutters. The transhumanism bit is always a nice perk, of course, but enhanced senses and strength don’t really make up for what’s been lost, especially when upgrades are pricey and money is scarce. Cyberpunk is a techno-nightmare, and every year its horrors are a little less far-fetched. Even so, Johnny Turbo’s chainsaw-leg goes a long way towards making that future at least a little bit attractive.
Sengoku Dynasty, the open-world survival crafting simulation RPG set in the Sengoku period of Japan, is now available in Early Access via Steam.
The end of the world was never going to be the actual end of the world, unless humanity somehow dropped a black hole into the center of the planet or something similarly over the top. All the horrors of the end fade into nothingness after a few decades, and while the damage may take a while to heal nature adapts to the new environment, growing in the ruins while every part of those that died is used as fertile grounds for new life. And then in the drowned city of Cosmopolis a single upbeat hipster tech-bro wakes up from his sleeping capsule with barely a memory to call his own, and only a few small hints to indicate who he might have been and his relation to humanity’s final days on the planet. The worst is long in the past and the world is finally peaceful, so maybe he can make a nice, pleasant little home above the flooded remnants of civilization.
The final Early Access update for SANABI is now available, and a full launch is planned across Switch and PC via Steam in November, publisher Neowiz and developer Wonder Potion announced.
Have you ever wanted your massively multiplayer online game to be cosier? If so, Palia is probably the game for you.
After being pulled on Steam earlier this year, Ironmace's PvPvE fantasy game Dark and Darker has been released in early access... but not on Steam.
Minthara is an optional (and evil) party member in Baldur’s Gate 3. She’s a deadly Paladin that wields two blades at once and serves the Cult of the Absolute. To get her to join, you must help her during the Raid the Grove quest and help her completely wipe out the grove. This quest allows you to gain one of two characters — you can either unlock the friendly Druid Halsin or the evil Paladin Minthara. You can’t get both in one playthrough.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally here for those lucky few who have a PC. Heck, it’s not far off for those who chose to go down the console route. After years in Early Access, it’s finally time to dive back into the Forgotten Realms and have a proper CRPG experience. It’s bound to be a good time filled with roleplaying goodness.
Firestorm is one of the best and worst Weapon Mods in Remnant 2. This mod generates a giant fire tornado that sucks in everything — including you — and completely wipes everything but the toughest boss enemies. This power is so strong you’ll need to respect it. If you’re not careful, the burning cyclone can kill you in an instant. It even tracks, stun locking large enemies, making this a perfect choice for boss fights and exploration.
Dodging is one of the most important skills in Remnant 2 and you can make it even better by combining a secret ring with specific amulets — pairing gear unlocks a special Mist Step dodge that lets you travel further and faster than any other roll. Remnant 2 is packed with weird secrets and mysterious artifacts, and if you’re looking to unlock every little bonus, you’ll want to grab the Ring of Omens.
Your build is everything in Remnant 2. Unless you’re able to see into the future, you may need to reset your spent traits to experiment with powerful combos — you never know what gear you’ll find while exploring the randomly generated biomes of the multiverse. You can reset your earned points at any time by crafting an Orb of Undoing at Ward 13, your main hub of the game. By using the Orb of Undoing you’ll reset all your points, giving you a second chance to reallocate them as you see fit. This can completely change your playstyle, so it’s important to use the orb wisely.
