A year ago, if Red Dead Online announced any kind of new content, people would probably be overjoyed. The game was notoriously lacking in support, especially when compared to GTA Online, and got the rug pulled out from under it earlier this year. But when Rockstar announced a brand-new outfit, comments were flooded with demands for GTA 6 news.
Rumours are mounting that Rockstar is going to finally announce the game this month. Many even believed it would happen earlier this week, but it didn't. So, despite no actual confirmation that it was ever going to, for realsies this time, happen, fans are angry. And that anger has boiled over to the Twitter comments.

"WHERE'S THE GTA VI ANNOUNCEMENT??" @YTikrid said.
"This ain't GTA 6 lil bro," @GTA6Plus commented.
"If X had a dislike button, Rockstar tweets would be full of them," @DC37 said.
While it hasn't been 'announced' yet, footage leaked late last year that was confirmed to be legit, so we know it's in development and have at least seen footage of it, albeit early, unfinished footage.
Many even believed Rockstar was teasing the game last month with promo art for its Moon Festival event, as two characters stood in front of the Vinewood sign, obscuring the letters so that the "VI" stood out. Since then, we haven't heard anything about the game.
The Red Dead Online post was about a new community-inspired outfit for the Halloween season. You can look into the screenshot and try to pick out details, but I doubt you'll find anything referencing GTA 6, despite many joking and sincerely hoping so.
"The post has to have a GTA VI hint, right?" @skesportsgaming said.
Plenty found vague ways to scrawl 'VI' onto the post, using the shape formed by the skulls and the tree to the right (with the one on the left, that'd be IVI), as well as the character's mask.
Some even counted the skulls, hoping they had some significance. "I counted 25 skulls in the image plus the skull of the character which would make 26," @n00bienub said. "GTA 6 announcement on the 26th?"
Plus the skull of the character is a bit of a stretch, eh? In any case, there's a new RDO outfit for Halloween. Maybe we will get GTA 6 news this month, but until Rockstar says anything, it's all based on speculation right now.

We haven’t heard a peep out of Rocksteady Studios and WB Games about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League since the game was delayed by nearly a year into February 2024, and questions about what shape the title is in have become increasingly louder, especially as its launch draws closer. Not long from now, however, we’ll be getting out first update on it in several months.
Long-suffering Grand Theft Auto fans have been waiting for the series’ next mainline instalment for over a decade now, and though the end is finally in sight, with Grand Theft Auto 6 set to be unveiled next month, GTA 5 continues to sell at an impressive rate, over a decade on from its launch.
When first I played GTA Online back in the Xbox 360 days it felt like an afterthought, a chance to play some random good-for-nothing in GTA 5's sizzling alt-Los Angeles, securely cloistered away from the events of the all-important singleplayer story. Having built yourself a no-name crim, you galloped around cranking out cash and XP by means of glorified sidequests handed down by headliners such as Lamar. Skip forward to 2023, and as Alice0 observed when we discussed Rockstar's GTA 6 announcements this morning, GTA Online is effectively an MMO with ten years of updates, expansions and community projects under its belt. The no-name crim has become the star attraction.
Rockstar's franchise includes some of the most highly-praised and definitive RPGs of the 21st century, and many eyes are looking ahead at . 's Wild West adventures follow the Van der Linde gang and characters connected to it, spanning more than a decade across the two flagship entries into the series. An interesting new Red Dead Redemption 2 mod for those playing the game on PC has been released - a mod that adds ambient random world events.
GTA 6 leak: We've been reporting about the various aspects of Grand Theft Auto 6 or GTA 6 for several weeks now. Rockstar's next big game has got fans hyped up, more so, especially after the big leak in February last year. Having already gotten a glimpse at its gameplay, we cannot wait to what Rockstar offers in this highly anticipated sequel to GTA 5. While GTA 6 is rumoured to feature some truly next-generation mechanics that haven't been seen in a video game before, it might also borrow some features from Red Dead Redemption 2, another astonishing Rockstar game that has wowed fans with its gameplay, mechanics, characters, storyline, and the open-world depiction of the Wild West.
'83 was announced in 2019 as a persistent FPS for up to 80 players set in an alt-history world where the Cold War turned hot. Development was being handled by Antimatter Games, the team behind the excellent Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, but work was put on hold in May 2022 so the team could focus on its IGI Origins reboot, and then it all ran aground a year later when parent company Enad Global 7 elected to close the studio. The fates of '83 and IGI Origins were unclear in the wake of the studio shutdown, but it sure didn't look good for either of them.
