Today, Sega releases an all-new Sonic game exclusively to Apple Arcade in the form of Sonic Dream Team. This lightning-fast adventure sees a new 3D Sonic game created for the service and allows players to play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Cream, Rouge, and Amy Rose.

Microsoft Paint Cocreator, which allows users to create images with the help of generative AI, has finally been made available to the public. It is a Paint Cocreator feature that enables users to create images by giving text prompts to the AI model. The AI image generator feature is accessible to Windows 11 users. Microsoft's AI image generator is powered by OpenAI's DALL-E, enabling users to bring their visions to life with AI-generated images. Microsoft has been utilizing the capabilities of DALL-E for its various other services such as Bing Chatbot, and now, it has been added Microsoft Paint vis Windows 11. It will provide a tremendous boost to users and here know how the generative AI art feature works.

Today, EA has revealed the stats that you, the player, have accomplished together as community since the release of F1 23. The Year on the Track in F1 23 examined in-game data that revealed fans’ favorite teams, drivers, locations, and items. While the actual Formula One season wrapped up at Abu Dhabi last weekend, this marks a good place for EA to take a look at these stats since the game launched back in June. Players have completed 73 million races, one billion laps, and have raced over 5.25 billion kilometers. Three-time World Champion and EA SPORTS Ambassador, Max Verstappen, was also selected the most to race. This was followed by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton and F1 23 Ambassador Charles Leclerc.

As we first mentioned back in October, Microsoft has been busy leveraging machine learning into all of its software products and now Paint will let you go all Picasso with its generative AI system, Cocreator. Just a handful of clicks and you'll be gazing at some spectacular landscapes, glorious starfields, and anatomically-inaccurate hands and feet.

The upcoming Fallout TV series will launch on April 12, 2024, and backer Amazon Prime has now shared a first look behind-the-scenes with Vanity Fair. The game's retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic aesthetic does seem like a natural fit for a TV show and the choice of creative leads couldn't be better: the husband and wife team Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, best-known for the Westworld series (which I thought was excellent, albeit I didn't watch beyond the first season). The show's main characters include Lucy (played by Yellowjackets star Ella Purnell), who much like the player characters has spent her entire life in a vault, and her father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) who's the vault overseer. Some sort of crisis sees Lucy leave the vault and enter the wasteland we know and love. «The games are about the culture of division and haves and have-nots that, unfortunately, have only gotten more and more acute in this country and around the world over the last decades,» says Nolan, who directed the show's opening three episodes. «We get to talk about that in a wonderful, speculative-fiction way.» The basic setup seems to be that Lucy is a nice but naive person whose vault-coddled existence has ill-prepared her for what lies above. Nolan points out the nature of virtue in such a setting as «circumstantial… it's a luxury virtue. You have your point of view because you never ran out of food, right?» Todd Howard also chimes in on the show, on which he serves as executive producer. «We had a lot of conversations over the style of humor, the level of violence, the style of violence,» says Howard, which is quite amusing coming from a guy who directed the Fallouts that gave us the VATs targeting system and its beautifully glitchy slow-mo gibfests. «Look, Fallout can be very dramatic, and dark, and postapocalyptic, but you need to weave in a little bit of a wink…. I think they threaded that needle really well on the TV show.» Howard discusses various previous approaches to such a project, and why they were turned down, saying that when people wanted to make a movie of Fallout 3 his thoughts were basically, «Yeah, we told that story.» The Fallout TV show is set within the games' universe with its own tale, and one that Howard says is canon: which is an interesting detail, and an approach I wouldn't be too surprised to see other shows based on games take.

The fortress of Valfaris disappeared from the stars, and when it came back it was overrun with corruption.  Therion journeyed back to his home to cleanse it and learn why everything went so horribly wrong, but discovered his father, Lord Vroll, as the source of Valfaris’ ruin.  Justice for the citadel’s people was delayed due to Lord Vroll’s escape, but a determined Therion chased after and is ready to renew the attack.  This time, however, instead of a full heavy metal run and gun shooter it’s a side-scrolling blaster from the pilot seat of a giant mech.

Most life has evolved to live on the surface of the Earth, with even the aerial creatures needing to land sometime while the marine life swims in the water covering the sand below.  There’s enough space for everyone but that’s also a bit of a problem, in that all there is is space.  Under the surface, though, is buried wealth beyond all imagining, from minerals and ores to rare gems, enough to make a stoic dwarf’s eyes glow with excitement.  With pickaxe in hand and a good-natured greed in their hearts, the dwarves will face any lurking danger or hostile creature in their vast underground kingdom because there’s gold down there they haven’t mined yet.
