Project Zomboid’s hotly anticipated Build 42 is coming in 2024

Former Fortnite and Blizzard developers have formed new studio Lightforge Games to make a multiplayer RPG that applies the collaborative world-building and storytelling of original tabletop Dungeons & Dragons to the polished video game presentation of its successors in the likes of Baldur's Gate 3.

IO Interactive announced back in 2020 that it had started development on a James Bond game, tentatively being called Project 007, but details on the game since then have been scant. A job ad that has recently surfaced might be pointing to a particularly interesting tidbit about the game, however.

HITMAN maker IO Interactive has lofty aims when it comes to the quality of gameplay animation they want to achieve in Project 007. The game developer is hiring animators, and the studio's Twitter account has shared a few statements from members of the Animation team to intrigue would-be candidates. Joshua Andrew Gleaves, Senior Gameplay Animator, said:

A planned live-action adaptation of MMO Final Fantasy XIV is officially “dead”, according to the TV series’ producers. IMMORTALITY and Telling Lies studio Half Mermaid Productions has opened Steam pages for two new projects titled “Project C██████” and “Project D████.”

Half Mermaid, led by Sam Barlow, is known for making video games using FMV, and they often require the player to sort through footage to solve mysteries. But for the studio's next projects, it seems the mystery will begin before the games are even announced – today, two Steam listings were posted on Half Mermaid's developer page, but most of their information is redacted.

Today is a great day to be a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 a fan. Not only are Noah and Mio’s amiibo figures releasing today, but an official artbook for the game has been revealed.

The leaks were right. Machine Games' next Nazi-biffer is called Indiana Jones And The Great Circle. It was shown for the first time during this evening's Xbox Developer Direct, where we got to see first-person punching and whipping, some tomb raiding, and plenty of Indy's face in cutscenes.
