Princess Peach: Showtime! is here, giving the Mushroom Kingdom monarch a chance to break out of the damsel role and do a little world-saving of her own. While the game is largely pitched to younger audiences, there are still a few things about the game that might inspire questions, and we’re here to help!
While most of Princess Peach: Showtime! keeps it pretty straightforward, the game’s Detective Peach stages take the form of old-school adventure game mysteries. These sections may puzzle younger players, and perhaps even their parents called in when they get confused, so we’re here to help. Here’s how to get through the first Detective Peach stage, “The Case of the Missing Mural”…

First off, before you get the Detective Peach transformation, you’re going to have to solve this puzzle. Interact with the four symbols in the order shown on the bookcase to open a secret passageway. Afterwards, find the Junior Detective hiding under some pillows (press B while in front of an NPC or item then hold B again for a “Strike of Intuition” that identifies it as a key point of interest, but choose wisely – point fingers recklessly and you’ll lose life).
Once you’ve received the Detective transformation, you’ll make your way to the museum where the Sour Bunch Gang makes off with a priceless mural in the dark. You can talk to NPCs in the area to get clues, but ultimately, the solution is to go to the leftmost room and interact with the picture that’s hanging askew
You’ll move through the vent behind the picture to a new part of the museum. You’ll goal here is to identify a couple Sour Bunch Gang members. You can ask around for clues, or just beeline to the solution with our help -- the first is the cop with the camera near the concession stand.
The second is the middle statue located in the same room as above.
Okay, you’ve rounded up the baddies, but where’s the mural you've been looking for? You’ll return to the first set of rooms to find it. Talk to the guy sitting on the stool and he’ll leave allowing you to pick up the stool.
Put the stool near the window, then hop up on it and interact with the window.
That will rustle a nearby curtain. Go to check on it – it turns out mural was there all along!
And there you have it, the first Detective Peach mystery – solved!

Palworld has made its name by allowing players to do a lot of things Pokemon would never let you do, but there’s one core Pokemon features it doesn’t have – the ability to take on others in PvP battles. Well, it seems that’s going to change, as during today’s Triple-I Initiative showcase, we got a first peek at the “Pal Arena” PvP mode, coming sometime in 2024.
Like previous entries in the series, Mortal Kombat 1 is rolling out plenty of DLC fighters, with the game’s first “Kombat Pack” so far serving up Omni-Man from Invincible, Quan Chi, and Peacemaker from Suicide Squad. It’s been a rather cameo-heavy list so far, but we’re getting back to a fan-favorite from the actual Mortal Kombat universe next – Ermac.
As we head deeper into 2024, the traditional “E3” season (of course, E3 is dead now, but you catch my drift) for gaming announcements and showcases is coming up fast. In recent days we’ve begun to hear some murmurings about Microsoft’s big 2024 showcase, with Gears 6 reportedly being there, and now a few more potential details may have filtered out.
The “Pokemon with guns” phenomenon Palworld has dropped its latest update, and it’s a fairly beefy one. The big addition is Palworld’s first raid boss, Bellanoir, an intense battle you can adjust the difficulty on for some big rewards. In addition to that, the update brings a number of improvements to building, a bunch of new handy items, and more. You can check out a quick teaser trailer for Bellanoir, below.

We’re going to assume for now that you’d rather not spend real money to get your hands on Joker, so scroll on down for the in-game method for unlocking him…
Alongside Peach's new ensembles in there are also several cosmetic dresses for Peach to unlock and wear throughout the game. To unlock every single dress, players will need to, not only fully complete the game, but also complete some lengthy post-game tasks.
Recently-released data indicates that Princess Peach: Showtime sales are outpacing the PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin in Japan. Princess Peach: Showtime released on March 22, an extremely busy day for the gaming industry. While it's rare for major new game releases to land on the same day, Princess Peach: Showtime shared its launch date with PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin and Capcom's open world action-RPG Dragon's Dogma 2.

Each stage in will contain several Sparkle Gems, key collectibles that are required to challenge the game's many bosses. These Gems are often hidden in sneaky ways, which is especially true for the Ninja Peach levels. Collecting every Ninja Sparkle Gem will require sneak-attacking guards, prowling over rooftops, and collecting Gem Fragments during high-speed wall-running sequences.
