Pokemon Concierge closed out a busy year for Pokemon when it hit Netflix at the end of 2023, and unsurprisingly, it's proved pretty popular. Its four episodes only amount to about an hour's worth of time at the Pokemon Resort, and fans have already made it clear they want more. No word yet on whether that'll happen, but there is a silver lining. Pokemon Concierge is getting official merch, including a Psyduck eyemask and a Horsea watering can.
PokeJungle has shared images of the Concierge items on social media, revealing they will be available from the Pokemon Center starting January 20, 2024. There is a catch though, and it's one almost as bad as the feeling you get when reaching the end of episode four and realizing there's nothing left. As of right now, Pokemon's Concierge merch will only be sold through Japan's Pokemon Center.
Now, don't give up hope just yet if you live in the US, UK, or anywhere else outside of Japan. Some items that begin life as Japanese exclusives eventually find their way to Pokemon Centers in other parts of the world. There also hasn't been confirmation that these items won't be released on other sites at the same time, it has simply been spotted on the Japanese Pokemon Center's site first. Also, if you really want to order items from Japan, there are ways to do so, it'll just cost you significantly more than the items retail for.
Psyduck is the star of Pokemon Concierge, so I'm assuming the eyemask will be one of the collection's bestsellers. Most of the other items included in the range are the sort of things you'd be likely to find in Pokemon Resort. Cushions with a repeating Ursaring and Vileplume pattern, slippers with the same print, and a brightly-colored Oddish and Bellossom shirt that would fit right in if worn while walking on the resort's beach alongside your partner Pokemon.
January has already been a busy month for Pokemon fans and we're only five days in. Funko is releasing six new Pops starting with Lucario later this month, and Fendi's Dragon-type collection is now available to buy. The good news with the Fendi products is you don't need to live in Japan to buy them. The bad news is most of the items cost thousands of dollars, the cheapest option being a $240 silk scarf.

Here's your daily Palworld sales update: the open world survival crafting game with monster collection mechanics has now surpassed eight million units sold on Steam alone in less than a week from the early access launch. It also broke the two million concurrent players milestone on Valve's platform, a feat that was only ever managed by PUBG: Battlegrounds back when the Battle Royale game was at its height. There's still over a million difference between the two, but it would not be wise to discount Palworld at this point.
The dream continues for independent Japanese developer Pocketpair as Palworld has now sold over seven million units in just five days since its early access launch. The open world survival crafting game with monster collection mechanics had sold one million in eight hours, two in twenty-four, three in forty, five million in three days, and six in four days. What's even more impressive is that, according to Geoff Keighley, these sales are for the Steam version alone. They do not account for sales on the Microsoft Store via PC/Xbox, nor do they account for Game Pass player numbers.
A talented Pokemon fan recently dreamed up an Electric-type Vulpix variant to go along with their previous Ninetales redesign. The fox-like Vulpix was introduced in the original Pokemon Red and Blue games as the 37th creature overall, with the ability to evolve into the majestic Ninetales when it is exposed to a Fire Stone. Both of these evolutions are modeled after the kitsune, a multi-tailed fox of Japanese lore with the ability to breathe fire — a fitting inspiration for a pair of Fire-type Pokemon. Vulpix and Ninetales were later given alternate Alola region variants in Pokemon Sun and Moon that swapped out their usual Fire abilities with Ice.
The Pokemon Company has been on many people’s minds over the last several days, mainly because of the introduction of a “rival” that has gotten many people wondering if legal action might be coming because of said rivals’ actions. But not to be outdone, the company is trying to showcase its long history while honoring one of the coolest moments in the OG series via a unique piece of artwork. As you’ll see below, the piece features the clash between Red and Gold on top of the frozen peaks of Mt. Silver. It’s a simple yet impactful piece of art highlighting just how good Pokemon trainers had it back in the day.
Palworld, the viral hit action-adventure survival title from Japanese developers Pocketpair, has taken the gaming industry by storm, climbing to the top of Steam charts and selling six million copies in just four days of release. But as the game's player count balloons, it has found itself embroiled in a plagiarism controversy, with many on the Internet pointing out alleged similarities between the designs of Palworld's creatures and those in popular Pokémon games. A user on social media platform X has gone as far as to compare in-game 3D models from both Palworld and Pokémon, claiming evidence of outright plagiarism.
is undeniably similar to , but whether it's a total rip-off is another question entirely. Like, it's a title that revolves around catching cute and dangerous creatures, and using them to achieve various goals. While this kind of gameplay wasn't necessarily invented by, and isn't even unique to, the iconic series is the first thing that comes to mind on hearing "." That was only worsened by early previews of, which showed off Pal-catching devices and animations that strongly resemble Poké Balls.
Don McGowan, The Pokemon Company's former chief legal officer, has labeled Palworld as «ripoff nonsense.» His views on the hit survival game dovetail with those of some vocal Pokemon fans who are not happy about Palworld and eager to criticize it any chance they get.
A Pokemon fan made an incredible acrylic painting of Jolteon and shared their efforts on social media with a short, sped-up video of the creative process. Following the video post, other fans complimented the Pokemon fan artist, who stated that the painting reminded them of other art styles.
There are nearly countless iconic creatures and locations in the world of Pokemon to inspire fan art, and one gamer brings the cold touch of winter to the Johto region's Lake of Rage with a beautiful, fully animated piece of pixel art. Players have visited many different parts of the Pokemon world since the franchise was born nearly 30 years ago, but the fan-favorite Johto region is famous for its many gorgeous and easily recognized cities and natural landmarks alike.
