If you've seen what happened when Pokemon teamed up with Amsterdam's Van Gogh museum, you don't need me to tell you about the frenzy new Pokemon merchandise is capable of whipping up. That's why every time Pokemon's squishmallows are in stock somewhere, they tend to disappear pretty quickly. If you've been on the hunt for the latest two Pokemon to be added to the squishmallow collection, and you're seeing this in time, you might be in luck.
Piplup and Winking Pikachu are the newest Pokemon squishmallows. Various sizes of both are in stock right now at GameStop. The retailer dropped its stock in the early hours of Sunday morning which might actually have been a stroke of genius on GameStop's part. Rather than everyone seeing the stock at once and rushing to buy it all, the news is spreading slowly and at the time of typing this, a few hours after the stock became available, there still appears to be a lot of it left.

Doing what GameStop has done here is kind of the best of both worlds. Not only does it reduce the chance of the site crashing as people flock to it to buy Pokemon merch, but hopefully less of it will be bought up by scalpers. It will also sell just as well as it would have had GameStop dropped it in the middle of the day, so no risk of losing out on any revenue. It'll just roll in ever-so-slightly slower than it would have otherwise.
Pikachu is its utterly charming self in this plush! It has a wide smile and is winking one eye, meaning it's no doubt up to some mischief. Just like all other Squishmallows, it's soft and cuddly, so you really can't go wrong.
There are six different Pokemon squishmallow designs available right now if you're lucky enough to find any of them in stock. The two above, Snorlax, Togepi, Gengar, and a regular Pikachu. There are also two new designs coming soon, Clefairy and Teddiursa. How the two new squishmallows will look has been revealed, but when exactly they will be available to buy remains a mystery. They will likely be listed on the Pokemon Center first before being rolled out to other retailers.
Joining the Squishmallow club is the adorable penguin Pokemon Piplup! The Sinnoh starter looks absolutely adorable as a Squishmallow, with its round body and shining blue eyes. This little guy will add an icy touch to your Squishmallow collection (though, of course, it's just as warm and soft to cuddle).
No Halloween squishmallows from Pokemon yet, but there's plenty of other spooky Pokemon merch available. Greavard's first-ever plush has the ghost dog sitting in a pumpkin, and Fuecoco's new soft toy has it dressed as a taco. There are great deals to be found on Pokemon stuff through Amazon ahead
