The PC Gaming Show officially returns on November 30 with a new twist: it'll focus on some of the "Most Wanted" games in development for the PC. That's in addition to the usual bevy of reveals and trailer.
A group of more than 50 panellists have been brought together from industry luminaries to content creators to games journalists in order to vote on the most exciting games set to release on PC in 2024 and beyond. More specifically, the panel include the likes of Sid Meier of Civilization fame, Inxile Entertainment studio head Brian Fargo, and AbleGamers direct Steven Spohn. More panellists are set to be announced in the future.
The event will reveal the 25 most exciting games in development for the PC as voted on by the panel while highlighting the latest news and announcements from them. What games, exactly, might make the cut is anybody's guess at this point.
"We're bringing together some of the voices we most respect from across the gaming industry to determine the Most Wanted games on PC," says Evan Lahti, PC Gamer Global Editor-in-Chief, as part of the announcement. "This end-of-year edition of the PC Gaming Show will place a spotlight on the biggest upcoming games and small-studio gems that have the potential to be the next Valheim, Stardew Valley, or Vampire Survivors."
PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted is set to feature returning host Frankie Ward, who is perhaps best known for hosting international esports events for the likes of League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The event is more broadly presented in partnership with Intel, and while exact times seemingly have not been revealed, it will be broadcast via Twitch, YouTube, Steam, and Bilibili.

Ascent of Ashes will be released into early access on November 15th, Vivid Storm Interactive and Camlann Games have confirmed. The dystopian colony sim challenges players to build a colony with the some of the last humans, in a world that is incredibly hostile with many at war with each other. Players will be engaged in these battles, but can focus on creating a settlement that provides safety for survivors, each of whom has their own skills to help the colony thrive.
Sony has been working hard over the last several years to take their console-exclusive titles and bring them to PC so that they can reach a new audience and potentially expand the success of their IPs. Sure enough, many titles they’ve put on PC have done well, including the games with Kratos, Joel and Ellie, Spider-Man, and more. One of the others that has also done well on PC is Aloy, whose first adventure was brought to PC a while back, and then many wondered when the sequel would come. Well, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition has officially been announced for PC.
Update, 9/25/23: During Capcom's Tokyo Game Show presentation, the publisher announced that Resident Evil Village and its Winters' Expansion are coming to iOS on October 30. The game will be playable on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad Air and iPad Pro with the M1 chip or later. The Winters' Expansion includes the Shadows of Rose story campaign.
Rocket Panda Games has announced Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate, a remastered version of the side-scrolling beat ’em up game rebuilt from the ground up on Unreal Engine 5. His cover is soon threatened when a mysterious figure with ties to the past comes to haunt him, spawning a crazed frenzy across the streets of Japan, as we punch our way through hordes.

Microsoft made a number of announcements during its Xbox Digital Broadcast at Tokyo Game Show 2023, most of which revolved around Japan and Japan-inspired games and updates. Xbox boss Phil Spencer and Head of Xbox Creator Experience Sarah Bond talked about the importance of the Japanese market. "Japan will always have a special place in my heart for pioneering innovative ways to play, from the Game Boy, to PSP, to the Switch," Spencer said.
SUCCESS Corporation has announced IZUNA (title tentative), a revival of the DS title Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja for Switch and PC. A release date was not announced.
