Patrick Stewart wants a Picard movie

The CEO and co-founder of Roblox Corporation, David Baszucki, has announced to employees that many remote staff members will soon be required to work in the company’s office three days a week, and they’ll be paid severance if they can’t relocate.

It’s been made very clear that Super Mario Bros Wonder is meant to be a very different kind of 2D platformer for Mario. We can tell visually that certain things have been changed and upgraded, and the gameplay has numerous new elements that separate it from past titles. But in a trio of special developer interviews with Nintendo, the team behind the game has revealed key insights showing just how far they went to try and buck certain trends and make things better for gamers. For example, they knew that some people felt that the 2D titles were “unforgiving” and that the 3D titles had more “freedom” in them.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer wants to see the classic Hexen series return, and one developer took the opportunity to say they’re “very well suited” to make it happen. 

With Activision Blizzard officially part of Xbox, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has discussed some plans for the future in a recent Xbox podcast. He confirmed that no titles from the publisher would come to Game Pass this year, though 2024 is more reasonable, and the era of exclusive betas and skins for Call of Duty on other platforms is over.

The Super Mario property has never wanted for popularity over the years, but even so, it’s never been as popular as it is right now, in the aftermath of the wildly successful The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which released earlier this year. Nintendo is, of course, striking while the iron is hot with the upcoming launch of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the first new, mainline 2D Mario title in over a decade- but how much of the game’s development was impacted by the movie, especially given the fact that it’s introducing a new look and style for the 2D Mario series?

Red Dead Redemption 2 could have gone on forever. Like GTA 5, which has enjoyed a lifespan of more than ten years thanks to Grand Theft Auto Online, the world of RDR 2 is so rich, so full, that we could have been a hootin’ and a hollerin’ with new material and DLC for years. Sadly, that seems ever more unlikely. With official GTA 6 news still absent, Rockstar is once again selling the Red Dead Redemption 2 Halloween Pass 2, the same one that we got in 2021 and again in 2022. The world of Arthur Morgan and John Marston is truly coming to an end.

British Esports, a not-for-profit national body which promotes esports in the United Kingdom, has released a new statement addressing “questions and concerns” raised over its partnership with the Saudi Esports Federation, which was announced earlier this week.
