Paradox Interactive and C Prompt Games announce turn-based strategy game Millennia for PC

PlayStation owners likely have a PlayStation Plus subscription. This grants you a few notable goodies, such as online multiplayer and special discounts. However, there are three tiers available, and if you get on at least PlayStation Plus Extra, then you unlock the ability to use the PlayStation Game Catalog. Each month, we get a new collection of games added to the mix. For the month of October, we’re finally getting confirmation from PlayStation about what games will be landing in the PlayStation Game Catalog next.

With the approval of Microsoft’s efforts to acquire Activision Blizzard looking almost certain to close by next week, Activision Blizzard is beginning to discuss what might happen next in terms of its games and Game Pass.

Yesterday I had a lovely chat with the brainy folk of Oxide Games, developers of Ashes of the Singularity and the forthcoming Ara: History Untold, a historical 4X strategy game that puts a baroque spin on the classic Civilization format with each player's turn unfolding simultaneously once you've queued up a bunch of commands.

Paradox Interactive and recently-founded studio Channel 3 Entertainment, have announced a publishing partnership for Foundry, a factory-building game that looks set to take on Factorio and Satisfactory.

Paradox Interactive announced today that the company will publish Foundry, a factory-building sandbox simulation game by Channel 3 Entertainment. In Foundry, players are tasked with using their imagination to build an efficient factory in a procedurally-generated sandbox. Prior to the announcement, Foundry had climbed to the top of itch.io as a top-selling game. The game can be compared to similar factory-building titles like Satisfactory and Factorio. Players start at the bottom of the technological totem pole, having to manually mine and process resources. Eventually, you unlock the ability to craft new machinery, develop technologies, and automate your entire production line.

There is a boss-nuking strategy in being shared around that seems like a perfect fit for one of the most popular classes in the game. The new turn-based RPG by Larian Studios offers players a lot of leeway when facing enemies throughout the land of Faerûn, as they are free to engage however they want and use the tactics that best fit them. The turn-based nature of the game also allows for improvisation and, luckily, this boss-killing tactic is not too strict, being easily adapted.

Paradox Interactive will publish Channel 3 Entertainment-developed first-person factory building sandbox simulation game FOUNDRY for PC (Steam), the companies announced. A new demo will be available during Steam Next Fest: Fall 2023 from October 9 to 16.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been on a lot of people’s minds lately. The recent release of the Phantom Liberty DLC and the big 2.0 update has brought the game back into the fore (not that it ever truly left). However, it looks as though CD Projekt Red is ready to move onto something else.

The first trailer for Rick and Morty season 7 revealed the new voices for the titular duo. The trouble is, however, we don’t know the identity of Justin Roiland’s replacements just yet – and won’t for a few more weeks.
