Unfortunately, the struggles keep coming for ZA/UM, as it's been reported that the studio is going to make 24 employees redundant.

A standalone expansion for Disco Elysium, codenamed X7, has reportedly been cancelled and a quarter of developers at developers ZA/UM are at risk of redundancy. Around 24 employees are said to be affected, according to "sources close to the matter" who spoke to Sports Illustrated's video games site.

The game's protagonist has drunk himself to oblivion on a three-day bender before sleeping it off, and events begin as he blearily re-joins the world in a small, dishevelled hotel room. PlayStation Plus' October 2023 offerings for its Extra and Premium tiers are exactly what one would expect around the Halloween season. Several horror titles such as,,, and 's third entry, are advertised as the subscription's major draws for the month alongside the DC superhero title, but there is another title that's been added that shouldn't be overlooked:

Gotham Knights leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium game catalog, this month. Starting October 17, all higher-tier PS Plus members can hop onto their Batcycles and ride around the streets of Gotham City, beating up all kinds of volatile criminals in the hopes of unmasking the enigmatic Court of Owls. Players can switch between Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and the Red Hood throughout the story to investigate Batman/ Bruce Wayne's death, and build out their character via a gear system. Gotham Knights wasn't nicely received at launch due to a myriad of performance issues across console and PC, in addition to having a repetitive gameplay loop. It will be available on the PS5 only.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers get their monthly dose of new games on Oct. 17, and while there is one acclaimed masterpiece of a role-playing game on the list (no, it’s not Baldur’s Gate 3, sadly), the expected addition of The Last of Us Part 2 has not come to pass. PlayStation 5 game streaming will also launch for Premium subscribers later in the month.

It’s almost time for Sony to announce the next wave of titles coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in October. Thanks to renowned leaker bilbil-kun on Dealabs, some titles have been revealed, starting with WB Games Montreal’s Gotham Knights. The co-op action RPG recently arrived on Game Pass for Xbox and PC.

Baldur’s Gate 3 took 263 hours away from my life since its early access, and after finally beating the game thrice, I am still yearning for more. Excluding a few minor grievances about inventory management and Act III’s performance, BG3 is a near-perfect experience and one of the best games I’ve ever played.

Skyrim will always be the first game I think of now whenever I see snow or spells, or anything inspired by folklore and mythology. Similarly, though it was only released in 2019, Disco Elysium has come to epitomize a certain hand-drawn visual style and focus on choices and dialogue – if I’m thinking character-driven, well-told drama, my mind goes first to ZA/UM’s RPG game. And this is where Black Book comes in, a dark, wintry adventure with an in-depth lore, turn-based combat, and extremely stylish world design. And the best part, it’s available now for free on the Epic Games Store.

Disco Elysium is one of the best PC games ever made, and any chance to nab it cheap on Steam should be taken, espeically if there are a slew of other games on offer along with it. So if you haven’t played Disco Elysium yet, or simply want to grab it on Steam, here’s a cheap way to do so.
