Trailered last night, Centum is "an unreliable narrative-driven adventure where everything may be a lie", according to the Steam page. Does the suggestion that everything may be a lie also apply to the suggestion itself? Is this an unreliable Steam page? Perhaps the game is secretly a cheerful Playmobile platformer with plentiful ledge-assist, rather than a horrible point-and-clicker that starts you off in a dark cell with a bunch of obviously cursed artefacts, and gets steadily worse.

Following the genre-mashing success of Inscryption, indie developer Daniel Mullins is going back to the game that put him on the map.

The game that started it all and brought Daniel Mullins’ name to the forefront of wierd, wonderful and downright unusual meta-narrative games, Pony Island, is getting a sequel. Seven years on from when the brilliant 2016 game released, the teaser for what Mullins was concocting was, in typical fashion, a surreal one. A mixture of art-styles, from pixel art to polygonal early-3D graphics to FMV-styled cutscenes, ran amok amid a game that too looked to be hopping from one genre to the next.

Daniel Mullins — the creator behind the acclaimed likes of Inscryption and The Hex — is back with a sequel to his celebrated 2016 oddity Pony Island. It's called Pony Island 2: Panda Circus and is coming Steam at some currently undisclosed future point.

After the deadly (and delightful) card game of Inscryption, creator Daniel Mullins is returning to his happy land of little horses. Today he announced Pony Island 2: Panda Circus, a new genre-shifting curio described as "a phantasmagorical voyage through time, myth, divinity, and video games." I like that this description is likely wholly earnest and accurate. This news came during the pre-show for Geoff Keighley's Shopping Hour and if a game like this is relegated to the pre-show, I can only assume the main event will include Half-Life 3, Elden Ring 2, and Deus Ex 5.
