Dead by Daylight continues its trend of adding well-known movie and video game horror villains to its increasing roster. Now, Child’s Play is the latest franchise to be incorporated, as developer Behaviour Interactive brings the killer doll Chucky to the game.

SyFy’s Chuckyseries is a lot of things: A bold continuation for a franchise with a high hit rate, one of the funniest shows on TV, and a series that consistently takes big, outrageous swings. A place where one of the most talented father-daughter duos in Hollywood can work together like they never have before.

There’s plenty of good TV — even plenty of great TV on right now (see, for example, the myriad series newly on Polygon’s own list of the best TV of 2024 so far). And lo, there’s even some new great TV coming to screens this week, as there always is.

Chucky actorhas said he is effectively retired from acting with one notable exception: he’ll keep voicing the legendary killer doll.

Developer Behaviour Interactive has released a new trailer for the upcoming Dead by Daylight collaboration with Chucky from the Child’s Play horror movie franchise. The trailer spotlights Chucky as the new playable Killer coming to the game, and you can check it out below.

Even though competitive keep-away isn't really my thing, it's hard not to admire Dead By Daylight from a comfortable distance. The folks at Behaviour Interactive have cooked up over 30 playable killers over the years, some original to the game and many adapted from classic horror media, with distinct abilities and upsetting methods for slaying Survivors. Their latest killer is an unconventional new face: Charles Lee «Chucky» Ray is joining Dead By Daylight.

After a few days of teasing, Behaviour Interactive confirmed that the next horror icon to enter the world of is none other than Chucky, the infamous killer doll.

Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of crossovers with Dead by Daylight. Now it’s Chucky’s turn, as the latest reveal trailer shows the killer doll from the Child’s Play films will make his way to Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical horror title.

The latest Dead by Daylight Killer has been revealed, and it’s a big and small update at the same time. Yes, Montreal-based developer Behaviour Interactive has, improbably, figured out how to add the not-so-cuddly deadly doll Chucky to the game. But how’s a 2-foot-tall Killer going to work exactly? Well, for starters, Chucky is the first Killer to use a third-person, rather than first-person, camera. Players will also be able to dress their murderous doll up in various costumes, including one that will transform Chucky into Tiffany from Bride of Chucky.

Dead by Daylight fans are getting a late Halloween surprise as it's just been announced that Chucky, the murderous doll famous for, well, being a murderous doll, is coming to the popular multiplayer horror game later this month.

Chucky, the pint-sized killer doll from the Child’s Play franchise, is coming to Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive announced Wednesday via IGN. Joining Chucky will be his equally sadistic bride, Tiffany Valentine.

Dead by Daylight's latest chapter update brings Chucky, the doll-turned-serial-killer star of the Child's Play slasher-movie franchise, into the world of the popular asymmetrical multiplayer game as a Killer. He will be available on November 28.
