The design of a spray exclusive to Overwatch 2's latest hero, Mauga, has left some players scratching their heads. A lot of people have put forward some pretty reasonable explanations for the cosmetic's oddities.
Much like other modern competitive shooters, Overwatch 2 offers microtransactions in the form of loot boxes, battle passes, and cosmetics. Among the many types of cosmetics that players can use in the Blizzard-developed hero shooter are sprays, which are images that can be placed on surfaces. Fans have discovered that a spray only available to Mauga, the Overwatch series' 39th hero, has a hard time fitting in with other cosmetics.
Posting on the Overwatch subreddit, user EMPERORLAPLACE told community members that Mauga's Wrestle spray cannot be combined with the Wrestle sprays of other heroes. The other heroes with Wrestle sprays are Brigitte, Sojourn, Doomfist, Reinhardt, and Zarya, the last three being tanks. Mauga will need to interact with the spray of an enemy player to get a combination in a regular game as the Wrestle sprays for Brigitte and Sojourn – the only non-tanks — are incompatible due to their orientations. In contrast, no other heroes are needed for players to enjoy Mauga's Dwayne «The Rock» Johnson-inspired spray.
Many Reddit users have pointed out that a Mauga player could simply join open queue games, giving them a chance to interact with friendly tanks. Thanks to Overwatch 2's highly criticized role queue system, each team of five in a regular match is forced to have one tank, two damage dealers, and two supports, while open queue foregoes those limits entirely. As teams only have a single tank nowadays in standard matches, tank mains in Overwatch 2 are having a difficult time playing the game.
The original Overwatch had a 6v6 setup that allowed up to two tanks per team, which would have given Mauga players the opportunity to combine Wrestle sprays with an ally Doomfist or Reinhardt. While controversial, Overwatch 2's move to the 5v5 format carried with it many benefits, including faster matchmaking and less chaotic games, among other things. Many players, however, still prefer the old system, and some have offered suggestions on how to implement 6v6 in Overwatch 2.
Blizzard recently nerfed Mauga after he was found to have overperformed in games. The Samoan, who was just released in December 2023, is set to receive more changes as well to further adjust his power levels, Overwatch 2 lead hero designer Alec Dawson recently confirmed. Big shakeups are coming to Overwatch 2's Season 9, according to Dawson, who also noted that another tank, Orisa, would receive changes alongside Mauga.

cutscenes don’t always play out in ways that are necessarily ideal, but there’s one easy technique that can help make characters look more presentable at virtually any point in the game. Unlike the first two games in the series and many similar RPG competitors, features extensive voice acting and motion capture to bring conversations to life. This can provide enormous benefits to overall immersion, but it also provides plenty of opportunities for minor things to become distracting.
It's been almost two years since Master Chief got some, and nothing has been the same since. We live in a world where Mr. Halo himself has got laid, a very different characterisation than we get in the games. It made headlines, it shocked the world. Now, it turns out that we weren't the only ones who felt that it was a little ridiculous.
So, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a first-person game. This has come as a bit of a surprise to some people, who likely were expecting a third-person perspective thanks to not just the Great Circle’s movie roots but also Indiana Jones’ influence on the video game industry. But do you really want another Uncharted game where the only significant difference is that your sarcastic hero now wears a hat? After six Uncharted games, a reboot trilogy of Tomb Raiders, and uncountable third-person adventures going back to the dawn of the medium, I think developer MachineGames has made a wise move in making Indiana Jones first-person.
