It's been almost two years since Master Chief got some, and nothing has been the same since. We live in a world where Mr. Halo himself has got laid, a very different characterisation than we get in the games. It made headlines, it shocked the world. Now, it turns out that we weren't the only ones who felt that it was a little ridiculous.
Ahead of Season 2, Master Chief actor Pablo Schreiber shares his thoughts on the Halo sex scene, and they're not positive. Speaking with SFX magazine, Schreiber says he "fought again" the scene, and that the romance arc was a "huge mistake".
"The decision to make the connection between Makee (Charlie Murphy) and John a romantic connection was a huge mistake," says Schreiber in the interview, as reported by GamesRadar+. "I felt it was a huge mistake at the time and I argued against it and fought against it."
He adds that he "wasn't listened to", but concedes that it wasn't his job. "I don’t write the scripts. I only give my opinion."
The Halo show also gave us a peek at Master Chief's bum. It was a weird time.
We don't often see actors be this brutally honest about a show they're on - especially when they're in the middle of promoting its new season. The first two episodes of Season 2 are set to premiere on February 8, after which we'll get one new episode every week until March 21. There will be eight episodes in total, with the finale simply called Halo. It remains to be seen if the show mixes up its writing for Master Chief, given the backlash to the first season. Or maybe he'll have even more sex, we'll just have to wait and see.
Sex-related controversy aside, Halo performed extremely well, being the most-watched show on Paramount Plus in 2022. This isn't too surprising as the hate was very online, and Halo as a series has huge name power, even with general audiences. So, it looks like Season 2 will do just fine, even if it isn't listening to the calls to have Master Chief put his helmet back on. Fans may just have to get used to the show taking a very different path than the games, particularly in how it represents Master Chief. Sorry, everyone, this guy gets some.

If you noticed that there hasn’t been a ton of hype or buildup to the return of the Halo TV Series on Paramount+ ever since the Season 2 trailer dropped, there’s a reason for that. While many were curious about what the adventures of Master Chief would look like in Season 1, the results were FAR from what fans hoped for. Not only was the canon stepped on and sometimes mocked depending on how you looked at it, but the team behind the show admitted they didn’t play the games! They did so many things wrong in fans’ minds that said fans were stunned when Season 2 was announced.
Are you tired of long-running live service games with no end in sight? Well, Bushiroad’s Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 MIRACLE LIVE! isn’t just getting a global launch date; it’s also getting a global closure date, at the same time.
This news is a bit of a bummer but quite amusing at the same time! Bushiroad and KLab Games dropped one-of-a-kind news, the global launch date of Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 along with its end of service date. Probably the first time in the history of video games ever, the announcements of the launch of a title and its EOS have been dropped together.
It's almost time for Master Chief to return to our screens in Halo season 2!
Halo season 2 actor Pablo Schreiber responded to criticism about Master Chief's helmet being removed and explained why the show chose this approach. In Halo season 1, Schreiber's Master Chief removed his helmet during the first episode, breaking tradition with the games.
Many in the world today don’t like the idea of people talking negatively about another product, regardless of the medium. To a certain level, we can appreciate and respect that. After all, regardless of the result, it’s fair to assume that many people worked hard to create the thing you watched, listened to, or played. However, sometimes, things need to be called out so that it can be better in the future, and the Halo TV Series is an excellent example of that. The first season came out a while back, and it was blasted by critics and fans alike on multiple fronts.
Master Chief actor Pablo Schreiber has said he will stake his reputation on Halo's next season being better than the first.
343 Industries has revealed that Halo Infinite's January 30 update will scrap traditional seasons in favor of shorter «Operations.» While fans can rest assured that a wealth of new content is coming to Halo Infinite throughout 2024, the delivery of this content will be dramatically different as the developers re-imagine the structure of new battle passes and updates.
cutscenes don’t always play out in ways that are necessarily ideal, but there’s one easy technique that can help make characters look more presentable at virtually any point in the game. Unlike the first two games in the series and many similar RPG competitors, features extensive voice acting and motion capture to bring conversations to life. This can provide enormous benefits to overall immersion, but it also provides plenty of opportunities for minor things to become distracting.
Master Chief actor Pablo Schreiber has doubled down on one of the Halo TV show's most controversial decisions – and yes, it does involve his helmet.
Pablo Schreiber, the face (quite literally) behind Master Chief's helmet in Paramount's Halo adaptation, thinks it was a «huge mistake» to introduce a romantic relationship for the Spartan warrior. In fact, he pushed back against it.
