Older Games Will Come to Epic Games Store as Part of New Now On Epic Program

Fans of Counter-Strike: GO’s Gun Game successor Arms Race rejoice: you will be able to play the popular mode in Counter-Strike 2. Eventually, that is. Valve have promised that more modes, weapons and features are headed to Global Offensive’s full-bore sequel, but they might take a little while to arrive as they respond to what players are asking for.

Ironcore Game Studios has just dropped a new gameplay video for their upcoming Perfect New World Equilibrious Test. This year colony survival sim Stranded: Alien Dawn left early access, but that doesn't mean it's done. Capcom have unveiled the next generation of their in-house RE Engine, which came in alongside Resident Evil 7 in 2017 and has been used by a bunch of projects over the years, from the excellent Devil May Cry 5 to the forthcoming possibly-excellent Dragon's Dogma 2. RE Engine's successor, the REX engine, is a response to three things - 1) RE Engine productions getting bigger in terms of assets, and more diverse in terms of genre, 2) RE Engine games being increasingly made by overseas developers who speak different languages, and 3) unflattering comparisons with various commercial tools, like Unreal Engine and Unity.

Cyberpunk's 2.02 patch has hit, bringing with it a surfeit of tweaks, fixes, and improvements to Night City in the wake of the game's sweeping 2.0 update and accompanying redemption arc. As usual there's a whole lot of bullet points here, and I'll put the full patch notes below, but there are a couple of entries worth highlighting in particular.

Considering the online buzz, GTA 6 leaks are all gamers care about these days. They want an update on the trailer, the game's launch date, and more information about the storyline and the gameplay. But a new leak has revealed some information that may be even more exciting to the fans, especially a certain section of gamers who swear by Nintendo consoles. The predecessor of the highly anticipated game, GTA V, was launched on Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5, and sometimes later, it also was released for PC. However, it was not released on Nintendo Switch. But a new leak claims that GTA 6 might launch on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console.

Palia has added regional servers for European players in its new update, which also sees the game arrive on the Epic Games Store.

One of the most celebrated actors to portray The Joker across all media is actor Mark Hamill. First taking on the role in 1992's Batman: The Animated Series, he quickly became a fan-favorite for his raucous yet still chilling take on the character, serving as a great foil to late Batman actor Kevin Conroy in the classic show and the subsequent animated movies and video games in the decades that followed.

Xbox Game Pass is getting a surprisingly rich mid-October update, with the headliners being relatively new games — 2023’s Dead Space remake and Like a Dragon: Ishin. The platform’s first update for the month had relatively few games, but the new update has almost double the amount of content, with three day-one launch titles in addition to the aforementioned 2023 titles. The trade-off is that we are losing one of 2022’s biggest titles at the end of the month.
