Over recent months, there have been plenty of rumours regarding Nintendo’s next-gen console, and though plenty of potential details on its specs and hardware have leaked, one thing that there hasn’t quite been enough clarity on is whether the console will support backward compatibility with the Nintendo Switch’s library.

In , both Princess Zelda and Queen Sonia of ancient Hyrule are revealed to possess Time magic. However, they may not be the only characters in the game to have access to this power. Various forms of magic can be seen wielded in the game, from Riju’s ability to conjure lightning to the healing magic possessed by the foreign Zora Yona. Time magic seems to be a particularly rare variety, but at the same time, it is perhaps not as unique as it may first seem.

Nintendo will reveal the successor to its popular Switch handheld, the Switch 2, in March 2024, if rumors are to be believed. The Japanese gaming giant's partners are already making moves in connection to the upcoming reveal, according to insider sources.

Netflix announced on Thursday that it has signed an exclusive multi-film distribution deal with Studio Ponoc, the Japanese animation house billed as the heir to Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata’s famed Studio Ghibli. That deal means Netflix plans to distribute Ponoc’s upcoming anime movie The Imaginary around the world later this year, after the film’s exclusive Japanese premiere.
