Crash Bandicoot 4 studio Toys For Bob split from Activision and Microsoft to go independent

As the video games industry violently contracts to ensure shareholder satisfaction at the cost of making thousands upon thousands of people unemployed, Skylanders studio Toys For Bob have announced they're splitting from Activision Blizzard and Microsoft to go independent. Good for them, but maybe too late for some. Earlier this month, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that it seemed Activision Blizzard were closing Toys For Bob's California headquarters and laying off 86 people. Still, the new independent Toys For Bob say they're working on something new and "exploring a possible partnership" with Microsoft.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Could Have Had A Different Ending

The development team behind Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth didn’t always know when the game was going to end, and it could have left off at a different point in the original’s story. After almost four years, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has finally been released, continuing the story of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Sephiroth, and the rest of the cast that fans know and love from the original Final Fantasy 7 and its many spin-offs. Just like Final Fantasy 7 Remake before it, FF7 Rebirth only retells a fraction of the 1997 PlayStation classic’s plot, picking up where its predecessor left off with Cloud and his friends escaping Midgar.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Originally Didn't End At The Forgotten Capital

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is finally here, the second part in a trilogy retelling the story of Square Enix's iconic '90s RPG. And it contains an equally as iconic moment at the Forgotten Capital - if you know, you know. That's where the game ends, using that pivotal moment to cap off the journey. But it wasn't always going to be that way. Originally, Rebirth would have continued past that certain someone's death.

Nintendo sues creators of popular Switch emulator

Nintendo is suing the makers of popular Switch emulator Yuzu, leaning on DMCA laws and with the reasoning that the emulator has facilitated a large amount of video game piracy. If they are successful, it could upend decades of legal precedent that has protected game console emulators.
