A wireless Link to the past.

Preorders are now live for the PDP Rematch wireless controller, which decks the peripheral out in the signature green and gold colors of Link, the Hero of Time. Officially licensed by Nintendo, PDP's controller adopts a design familiar to that of the Switch Pro controller and features a striking design of Link readying himself for battle. The controller body is emerald green with hints of translucence, the analog sticks have the same color configuration, and the face buttons, triggers, and D-pad all sport a royal gold finish.
This wireless Switch controller boasts up to 40 hours of gaming from a full charge, and the controller has a 30-foot wireless range. You can also program other button functions to the dual back buttons for faster actions and a customized gaming experience. TheHero of Time controller will begin shipping out on October 27.
If you don't mind waiting a little longer--and you're looking for something a little less garish--this other wireless controller from PDP is an attractive alternative. The Black Fade model, this PDP controller has a black gradient and bold red inputs that stand out brilliantly. It'll be shipping out starting November 25.

The 3DS housed no shortage of RPGs, ranging from beloved classics to esoteric oddities. While titles in that second category can be easily forgotten, sometimes games just need a second chance in a new market. Case in point, NISA has announced an HD remaster of The Legend of Legacy will hit modern consoles in early 2024.
The Legend of Legacy was a low-key fantastic turn-based RPG on the 3DS and one that came out in that sweet spot where the 3DS had a large install base – but before the Switch came out and kind of destroyed the market for 3DS games. With a slightly-deformed art style alongside a watercolor-esque, vibrant world, it would very much be a prototype of sorts for The Alliance Alive – which already got an HD remaster, and now feels like this pseudo-duology can be complete for modern hardware.
NIS America has announced turn-based RPG The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch in early 2024.
Apple launched the iPhone 15 Pro with a new titanium finish that has stirred up some interesting details on the metal. While it is lighter and more durable than stainless steel, users have complained that it scratches easily. Scuffings and scratches aside, it remains to be seen how the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max perform in a drop test considering the tensile strength of the new titanium build. To answer this question, a YouTuber has conducted an elaborative drop test of the iPhone 15 Pro from as high as 15 feet.
Earlier today, I reported that The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki was finally getting an English localization. Titled Trails through Daybreak, I picked out a talking point from the NISA announcement stream that Trails through Daybreak would be the start of a new story arc, and therefore serve as a decent entry point for new fans. Little did I know that I stepped on a landmine with this comment.
As indicated by recent ESRB ratings, NIS America will bring The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 to PS5 in early 2024. They’ll be available separately on the PlayStation Store and physically as a two-in-one pack. Check out the announcement trailer below.
NIS America will release The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam in summer 2024 in the west, the publisher announced. It will feature English and Japanese audio options, and English text.
NIS America and Falcom have announced The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak, an English localization (with English and Japanese audio) for The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki. It’s coming to PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch in Summer 2024 for the West. Check out the latest trailer below.
Persona 3 Reload will have new story scenes for some of its characters.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a standout title this year and continues to be enjoyed by players doing new playthroughs or jumping on the bandwagon and experiencing it for the first time. One of the best parts of the game is the companions you meet on the way, and thanks to Larian Studios, we are about to see them all in a whole new way.
The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails is an action RPG with platforming elements that started life on the PSP all the way back in 2012. And as is the case with so many of Falcom's lesser-known titles, it was never released outside of Japan. This new PS4 version, then, is a remaster of what some would consider to be a bit of a classic, and while we'd hesitate to put it on the same podium as, say, the best games in Falcom's Ys series, there's no doubt that The Legend of Nayuta is a blast to play.
