Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2024, Capcom has confirmed. The «action strategy» game inspired by Japanese mythology is yet another addition to the long list of titles that will have day-one Xbox Game Pass debuts this year.

How's that for a shadow drop? Survival-shooter series STALKER has just arrived on PS4 (and PS5, via backwards compatibility). All three titles, which released for PC back in 2007, 2008, and 2009 respectively, are available to buy through the PS Store right now. You can either pick up STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy to snag all three in one bundle (priced at £35.99 / $39.99), or you can purchase each game individually (priced at £15.99 / $19.99 a pop).

A number of PS5-bound titles will be hitting the news cycle this week thanks to a freshly announced Xbox showcase. The 'Xbox Partner Preview' takes place on the 6th March (that's this Wednesday!), and across its 30-minute runtime, you can expect to see gameplay from the likes of The First Berserker: Khazan, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and Tales of Kenzera: ZAU.

Italian publisher 505 Games has shuttered several of its European offices in France, Germany, and Spain, the result of a business review conducted in September. Just yesterday, we told you that Remedy Entertainment had acquired full publishing rights for Control back from 505 Games.

Sony has confirmed it's cancelled «some» unannounced games at PlayStation Studios, and according to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, one of them is the long-rumoured Twisted Metal game from Firesprite. The journalist reports the project was in «early development» and hadn't been greenlit by Sony to go into full production yet, according to a source.

Skull and Bones, the live service pirate game that released just over two weeks ago on PS5, is already having its price slashed across the US and Europe. It was a full-price title at launch — your now-standard $69.99 / £69.99 — but it's currently down to as low as $44.99 / £49.85 (as reported by VGC). While that's certainly not what we'd call cheap, it's still a significant discount after such a short length of time on the market, and it suggests that retailers are struggling to shift copies.

Sony has confirmed that «some» unannounced games in development within PlayStation Studios have been cancelled as a result of the decision to lay off around 900 employees. In a separate article from Hermen Hulst, it's explained: «We looked at our studios and our portfolio, evaluating projects in various stages of development, and have decided that some of those projects will not move forward.»

With Final Fantasy VII Rebirth right around the corner, you would likely assume the Square Enix sequel to be dominating the pre-order charts found on Sony's own PS Store. However, for roughly a week now, this hasn't actually been the case. Ever since the confirmation of the PS5, PS4 Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection, the RPG follow-up has had to fend off stiff competition to claim top spot from two re-released PS2 classics.

Destiny 2 is getting hoverboards! And they're free! Yep, in a bid to try and drum up some excitement for the shooter's upcoming seasonal stuff, Bungie has revealed that hoverboards — or 'skimmers', a new form of transportation — will be made available to all players. Although if you want additional boards, you'll obviously have to buy them through the game's microtransaction shop. Who saw that one coming?

Just a few weeks away from release at the time of writing, Rise of the Ronin has graced us with eight new PS5 gameplay videos, each of them showcasing a different weapon-based fighting style. Nioh fans will definitely recognise some of them, but there's an impressive degree of variety on offer here.
