New iPads Unlikely Before Spring 2024

Insomniac Games has just rolled out Spider-Man 2 update 1.001.004 for PlayStation 5, which addresses various issues and improves stability.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 hit PlayStation 5 exclusively on October 20 and quickly became Sony's fastest-selling first-party game. While we loved the game – read Game Informer's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 review here – players have discovered bugs and issues leading to laughter and, in some cases, progress impediment. Fortunately, developer Insomniac Games has been quick to fix issues with updates, like one last week that fixed an incorrect flag and the infamous white cube model issue. 

It’s finally November and, with Black Friday approaching at a rapid pace, it’s no surprise that we’re already seeing some good deals popping up here and there. This year’s Black Friday officially kicks off on November 24 and will be the perfect opportunity to score some great Black Friday gaming deals.

Plus, players discovered a Cuban flag was displayed inside and outside the Morales household rather than the expected Puerto Rican flag. A new update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 out today fixes both of these issues and more. 

A new set of rumors have come up regarding Nintendo Switch 2.

For months, it was rumoured that Apple was planning to refresh its iPad lineup in late 2023. However, it isn't likely to be the case anymore. We've already seen several new Apple products this year, ranging from the iPhone 15, and Apple Watches to the 15-inch MacBook Air. The Cupertino-based tech giant even debuted the Vision Pro, its first-ever spatial computer, at the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 on June 5. However, one product has not been refreshed - the iPad.

Spider-Man 2 will receive a New Game+ mode as part of a post-launch update, later this year. As per Insomniac Games Community Director James Stevenson, just like the 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man, those looking to replay the title and mop up all the side quests might have to wait a bit, though for now, simply beating it once grants access to an ‘Ultimate' difficulty setting for a fresh playthrough. For the uninitiated, a New Game + mode generally allows players to plunge back into a game's campaign in an overpowered state, as the in-game character carries over all unlocked abilities, tools and weapons, and gear upgrades.

Spider-Man 2 is packed with classic villains from the web-slinger’s deep roster of bad guys. Marvel’s Spider-Man didn’t include the option to replay the story in New Game Plus mode when it first launched in 2018. But Insomniac wasn’t lazing about in a hammock made of webbing, either. The developer launched the feature roughly six weeks after launch. Is it coming to the sequel? Oh yes, and now we (roughly) know when: before the end of this year.
