Chandryaan-3 mission took its first flight on July 14, 2023, and its Vikram lander touched down on the lunar surface on August 23, marking one of the biggest achievements in history for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). India became the fourth country to successfully land on the Moon while also becoming the first nation to do so on the lunar South Pole. The Vikram lander stayed and conducted studies on the Moon's south pole for 14 lunar days, before being put to sleep. Now, the lander is in sleep mode as the lunar night commences. The eerie shadows of True Detective, Seven, and The Silence of the Lambs creep through Alan Wake 2’s gorgeous digital depiction of the Pacific Northwest.

A new Alan Wake 2 gameplay trailer is here with 11 minutes of footage, and although I'm sure it's crammed with references and callbacks to older Remedy games, what I'm most hyped about is that it confirms Ahti from Control is back and still singing his lovely Finnish music.

A prequel to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, the verbosely named Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is a fairly typical Japanese RPG. It follows the story of a young warrior named Oshtor, who, after a strange meeting with a mysterious girl, sets off on a grand adventure to uncover the secrets of his family's history. So far, so very JRPG, but in its eastern-inspired fantasy world and penchant for decent plot twists, the game manages to carve out its own identity.
