Minecraft movie adds Peacemaker’s Danielle Brooks to cast

God of War Ragnarok’s hotly anticipated free DLC expansion Valhalla, due out later today, will add more Trophies to the game – although they’ll be listed separately from the campaign, so you won’t need to worry about them if you haven’t earned the Platinum just yet. Writing on Twitter, game director Mihir Sheth confirmed the tidbit.

The game that started it all and brought Daniel Mullins’ name to the forefront of wierd, wonderful and downright unusual meta-narrative games, Pony Island, is getting a sequel. Seven years on from when the brilliant 2016 game released, the teaser for what Mullins was concocting was, in typical fashion, a surreal one. A mixture of art-styles, from pixel art to polygonal early-3D graphics to FMV-styled cutscenes, ran amok amid a game that too looked to be hopping from one genre to the next.

Wednesday actor Emma Myers is all set to join Jason Momoa in the upcoming live-action Minecraft movie but, with filming just weeks away, everything else surrounding the production is surprisingly hush-hush.

The churn of Netflix content makes it almost inevitable that occasionally disparate movies and TV shows will share similar titles. It’s decidedly less typical for two different films bearing the exact same title to arrive on the service at roughly the same time. Or maybe you prefer the cozier comforts of Mr. Monk’s Last Case — the TV movie that, if the title is to be believed, will be the final farewell for the beloved Tony Shalhoub character.
