Marvel's Spider-Man 2 fans are divided over the prospect of playing as MJ again

The latest Marvel's Spider-Man 2 patch has brought back the Nelson and Murdock sign, raising questions about why the Easter egg was missing at launch.

This puzzle, on the other hand, is not like the others you've encountered so far in the game. It has a secret reference to a Piano somewhere in the house. Once you've discovered that, you'll know which color combination to press to open the door.

is replete with additions and improvements to the previous titles from developer Insomniac Games, but one feature that isn't present is a huge missed opportunity. The newest entry expands on its predecessors by putting both Peter Parker and Miles Morales at the forefront, testing their mettle and web-slinging prowess against threats new and old. From a world with increased density and scale to developments like seamless fast travel that can jump to any point on the map, Insomniac Games pushed the envelope in many ways while failing to implement an age-old option that generates fun.

The Spider-Man IP has shot Insomniac Games into the stratosphere, bringing the studio (and Sony in turn) incredible critical and commercial success. The developer is, of course, far from done with Marvel, because not only will it inevitably make a Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 and potentially even a Venom spinoff, it’s also confirmed to be working on Marvel’s Wolverine.

features an impressive lineup of suits for Peter Parker and Miles Morales, but one great option from the first game is bafflingly absent. Switching up styles is a great way to shake up the feeling of web-slinging, and a variety of styles from different sources across history make it easy to do so. The very best suits bring iconic looks to life in game with accuracy and panache, occasionally even utilizing different styles for lighting or animation to truly carry across the nature of their inspiration.

has plenty of side content for players to dive into across its open-world version of New York. These include a balance of traditional superhero set-pieces in which Peter and Miles take on menacing cults and dangerous hunter drones, with short, more intimate stories featuring some of the city's residents.

Despite passionate romances, a little bit of body horror, and plenty of scares (Doc Ock’s surgery scene in Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, anyone?), Spider-Man has generally been a family-friendly superhero franchise. Peter Parker certainly has an “Aw, shucks” energy to him, and the Spider gang is usually made up of young people trying to make their way in the world (or high school, or college). The games also go to great lengths to show you the goons you fight are ultimately unharmed — throw (or kick) someone off a building, and they will automatically get webbed to a nearby surface on their way down.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a week since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 released on PS5, alongside a certain other game on the Nintendo Switch, but that’s another article. The game has been desired ever since the first game came out, and the Miles Morales-themed spinoff tided us over. Insomniac Games wanted to do everything they could to make the game feel “better,” “grander,” and more. Based on all accounts, they succeeded. The game is rated highly on Metacritic and sold 2.5 million copies in just its first day! So yeah, it’s doing pretty well for itself.

Out of nowhere, Konami treated Metal Gear fans with a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater at the first Xbox Partner Preview event, which gave us a look at the game in action for the very first time. While it was only a trailer intended to show off the game's new engine, it did give us some gameplay to look over, as well as a good idea of what the title may look like when it finally hits store shelves.
