Lost Ark ended the year with two major updates in December, and the team has announced initial details and the release date for the January update.
Coming on January 10th, this will be a big update in terms of presenting a brand new base build for the game. Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games work together to update Lost Ark’s base build every few months, to bring over both balance changes and quality of life updates over from the Korean version. They detailed this process in a recent devblog, and while there are content updates and changes outside of base build updates, these are major in their own way in keeping things competitive, fresh, and fair.
This new base build update will feature quality of life changes from the Korean version released through the fall and all of the balance changes included too.
As far as content coming in January, the Brelshaza Legion Raid Inferno difficulty is almost here. This hardest version of the raid will require item level 1560 and a complete build set up in the Book of Coordination. These Legion Raids are not about the normal rewards, as they’re the hardest of the hard, and by completing them, you’ll earn significant prestige, exclusive titles, Stronghold Structures, and others to show off your victory.
This Legion Raid will be different though. Inferno difficulty will not include the full number of gates–just the final two. These are the gates where you face Brelshaza herself, so you’ll need to come prepared to earn a hard won victory, but it simplifies the process just a bit by cutting things down.
Details on the full update are yet to come. See more at Lost Ark.

Dave The Diver was one of last year's surprise hits, but though some called it an indie game, it was actually the work of Mintrocket, a subsidiary of Korean publisher Nexon. Now Mintrocket have announced their next game and it seems less likely to cause such confusion. It's called Wakerunners, and it's a team-based "battle action game" about heroes smashing at each other.
A slump in smartphone demand did not shake Apple’s resolve or the sales momentum of its iPhones because, according to the latest data, the California-based giant achieved one milestone that it took the firm 13 years to fulfill ever since it launched the first iPhone, and that is overtaking its closest adversary, Samsung, in global smartphone shipments.
Korean MMORPG Throne & Liberty will be merging down many of its Korean servers together, bringing a number of changes that these players will need to keep an eye on. The server merge comes in part to bring populations together, reducing queue times on group content and making guild recruitment more viable. Altogether, 18 servers will be merged into a much smaller and manageable 7.
